Faughn has never served in the legislature nor been a speaker of anything, he can’t even vote after picking up a few felonies 17 years ago for forging checks

Oops, my bad. Confused him with someone else. Scott Faughn was former mayor of Poplar Bluff. He hosts a 30 minute local show 9AM Sundays on channel 30 about going's on in Jefferson City at the State Capitol.dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑11:14 AM - 20 days agoFaughn has never served in the legislature nor been a speaker of anything, he can’t even vote after picking up a few felonies 17 years ago for forging checks

Downtown funds are for strategic major capital projects fund, downtown infrastructure fund, riverfront fund, downtown retail and corridors fund and tourism event attraction fund
That feels like a lot of priorities for $55M. I hope the private sector is joining in.

That money will be spread way too thin without at least a 2-3x match from the private sector. Otherwise it should just all go towards infrastructure and closing funding gaps for major projectsaddxb2 wrote:That feels like a lot of priorities for $55M. I hope the private sector is joining in.
I'm interested in specifics for all the funds. Like give an example for what it would be used for in North city, downtown, etc.

Finally, St. Louis will have dinner cruises. Line the shore between Eads and 64 with dozens of them.

@dbInSouthCity is there a reason the Viking cruises dock in Alton? Could they dock downtown with improvements?

Does 3A mean they are investigating opening the floodgate at Carr St on the North Riverfront Trail? Seems to me like it's been closed arbitrarily for six years now.
^Totally agree. We should seek a public-private partnership to maximize these funds!STLcommenter wrote: ↑12:59 AM - 18 days agoaddxb2 wrote:That feels like a lot of priorities for $55M. ^Just another thing to add to my "List of Reasons I Wish I Lived in STL"! Looks really fun, I hope that people join! Is this going to be in Kaufman Park? If so, it's a great way to activate that underutilized green space!
