Faughn has never served in the legislature nor been a speaker of anything, he can’t even vote after picking up a few felonies 17 years ago for forging checks

Oops, my bad. Confused him with someone else.  Scott Faughn was former mayor of Poplar Bluff.  He hosts a 30 minute local show 9AM Sundays on channel 30 about going's on in Jefferson City at the State Capitol.

Came across this blog...

The Corner Side Yard
Midwest/Rust Belt Downtown Perceptions - by Pete Saunders
Cities in the Midwest and Rust Belt have a unique perception problem. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch opens up a necessary conversation.

That feels like a lot of priorities for $55M. I hope the private sector is joining in.

That money will be spread way too thin without at least a 2-3x match from the private sector. Otherwise it should just all go towards infrastructure and closing funding gaps for major projects

I'm interested in specifics for all the funds. Like give an example for what it would be used for in North city, downtown, etc.

The riverboat cruises have always been underutilized imo.

Finally, St. Louis will have dinner cruises. Line the shore between Eads and 64 with dozens of them.

Oh ok. Like I said, very underutilized so then I agree.

@dbInSouthCity is there a reason the Viking cruises dock in Alton? Could they dock downtown with improvements?

Does 3A mean they are investigating opening the floodgate at Carr St on the North Riverfront Trail? Seems to me like it's been closed arbitrarily for six years now.
