Reviewing the media regarding Rams settlement a bit more. The mention of poor first impressions as a reason to fund the dock got my attention. Far more people enter St. Louis at Gateway Transportation Center than the river boats and yet the City has been fine with that terrible first impression. City needs to buy the USPS lot and have the Treasurer and SLDC lead a private-public partnership. At a minimum a public garage would do wonders but ideally a hotel + garage + roadway and way finding improvements. Even better if we can fund internal and external cosmetic improvements.
