There were interior photos of the space within the stadiums south end that made it appear to be much larger than what the final product will be
Still not seeing a loss of half between start and now.

See the interior building thru the glass? I don’t think it extends that far down anymore.  I’ll see if I can get a closer look tomorrow
Not seeing that.

South Bar rendering from the club website. Doesn’t seem much different than the original announcement:

Can someone with access to the construction drawings confirm? Are these still able to be downloaded from the plan room?

^ Thanks for posting!

Give or take, it looks like the main event space, located between the service areas on either side, is about 150 feet long by 50 feet wide, or about 7,500 sq. ft.

Not sure if that's different than the original plan, but according to the internet that's enough to hold several hundred (or more) wedding guests.

Such an amazing tip of the cap - I love it when designers find ways to tie in history like that.

The Maggie O's/Bricklayers Union building is being painted a dark green from top to bottom.

It's not quite kerry green, but it looks good. All the awnings and lighting have been removed, so hopefully those get an upgrade as well.
We use to refer to it as the "Denny's with beer" - Have not set foot in there in well over 10 years - Hope they spend some money on the interiors

As for the stadium - drove by over the weekend - It really does look elegant, which is not a word I would use to describe most of the sports venues I have experienced. The fact that there is no "back of house" side will be huge in its self

Guess people can quit thinking it might be named square with them changing names.
Square will still exist as a subsidiary of Block after the name change for the holding company. It's pretty much the same thing as what happened when Google changed its holding company name to Alphabet and when Facebook changed its holding company name to Meta.

Used an online area calculator to do some quick and dirty calculations to see how this site compared to other sports specific stadium + related developments in St. Louis.

MLS Stadium + Connected practice facilities + Team Offices / Team Store = .047 sq miles
Busch Stadium + Ballpark Village = .039 sq miles
The Dome (did not include convention center as it's not sports specific) = .020 sq miles (.041 if you include convention center)
Enterprise Center + attached garage = .012 sq miles

This will be the largest professional sports campus in St. Louis upon completion.  Pretty awesome project.

Wondering if there will be a signature element to the stadium unveiled at some point.  They advertised a main entry with a fan plaza.  Busch has the iconic "Budweiser" and Birds on the Bats sign above the scoreboard.  Enterprise has the huge jumbotron and added a "beer garden".   The Dome has... well the Dome is there.

^To be completely fair, it's the first one where all the associated facilities are concentrated in the same place. Every other facility on the list has associated practice facilities elsewhere. (In the case of Busch Stadium very far elsewhere.) And while I can see where that will be an advantage for the team, I'm not sure how much they're really going to contribute to that game day feel. (Depends on how they use them, I suppose.) And even if the garages surrounding Busch are no longer owned by the team it's a little unfair to count some garages, but not others. If you add in the Stadium East and Stadium West garages the Busch "campus" comes out to .055, and I think most of us would think of them as part of the campus. I'm not even sure how you would parcel out the parking at the convention center between dome and not-dome, but there is some and it's as closely connected to the sports as the MLS garage will be. (Which is to say they're all garages and you can park in any of them when there isn't a game, and they all get a lot more expensive when there is one.) It's kind of a hard thing to measure. The MLS campus is pretty darned impressive, and I'm thrilled to see it happening, but I think it's unfair to call it the largest campus. Mind you, I'm excited to see it and it really is shaping up to be something.

^ Fair points.  I did exclude the MLS Parking Garage from the area calculations since like you said, garages are used year-round for general purposes and not just sports.  Included the one at Enterprise because it's an extension of the building and already the smallest footprint by far.

Left out the Busch Stadium garages for same reason.

As in the practice fields and team store/headquarters or other things unknown to general public?

^ curious as well.  A tease on additional development forthcoming or just a guess, expectation that will see more.

What I wish for everytime I see one Chris drone photo's is a proposal from LHM to develop their big prime surface lot on the east side of the practice fields.  Seems like an ideal spot for 6-10 story mixed use.  Doesn't need towers (plenty of prime spot downtown for that) but some nice concrete & stick fill in would be nice, or better yet some above ground development utilizing underground parking.  I figure if LHM can add something into the mix that LHM, 2CW, Opus Spruce Street or 1801 Wash Ave would break ground at some point.
