I don’t have any app, but they shared a video on Facebook saying the announcement would be tomorrow.

There's an-in-app video that I can't get to play but it's titled "2.15.22: Meet our New Founding Partner" and includes a stadium emoji, so I'm guessing the stadium might be getting its name.

GPS coordinates maybe indicate that it’s a Geospatial company?

I think it’s just the stadium coords

Yeah I guess I was just reading into why they would present it with GPS coordinates and the city’s desire to brand itself as a geospatial hub.

Everybody uses that blue and green, it must've made an impression at some logo consultant convention ten years ago.

^ Yeah - it definitely feels that way - especially that blue

 - just one more reason to think it could be Bayer

Yeah - their entire societal engagement section is just Culture and Sports, which is a pretty interesting duo to put your flag on.

Centene Stadium - 15 year deal.
https://www.bizjournals.com/stlouis/new ... 1#cxrecs_s

Few other interesting details:
With its pact with City SC, Centene becomes the largest U.S.-based company, by annual revenue, to put its name on a current MLS stadium. The Fortune 25 company has more than 75,000 employees and had 2021 revenue of $126 billion. In St. Louis, it employs more than 6,000.
........
In addition to a shared focus on wellness and community development, Centene Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Marcela Manjarrez said the company, the world's biggest provider of managed health care services, was also drawn to partnering with City SC because of its majority-female ownership group.

Manjarrez said 84% of Centene’s workforce is female and more than 50% of its director-level positions and above are occupied by women.

Even bigger is Centene committing to 15 years?  I think we can assume they are here to stay in STL.

This is great new for STL City SC, but more so great news for STL in general. Centene reps reinforced their commitment to STL and the fact that they are HQ'd here.

All around great news!

For some reason, I thought that Centene had agreed to stadium naming rights with Charlotte FC.

Glad I was wrong and that they're showing super solid signs of staying in St. Louis.

Maybe the turnstiles were worth it?

They do have partnerships with Charlotte.  Both their uniform sleeve and their field.

I personally don't think this precludes the C-Suite from leaving in the future, especially with Niedorff on his way out.  They were never going to move 6,000 employees out of St. Louis...it was just about the executives.  They had their name on plenty of stuff in town when they were threatening to leave too.

I don't think this has anything to do with turnstiles, especially considering those aren't even fully funded yet.

People treating this as proof of some renewed commitment to an StL HQ are setting themselves up for disappointment.
