So I got a chance to see this out of the ground for the first time last weekend. Seems to me like it is going to be a LOT taller than the renderings made it seem to be. i counted 10 floors and it looked to be about as tall as the mayfair, should be interesting to watch the rest of the climb up.

per emporis
Roberts Mayfair - 18 floors @ 189ft
Roberts Tower - 25 floors @ ?ft
My guess it will end up around 270 - 290 ft.
you can see the height differencial here, assuming it's still this tall.

Something in my mind wants me to say 313 ft., but I could be wrong.

More likely, they had too much money to spend on it. That's how they ended up with a Flash site.
Though that wouldn't explain why they're not paying their contractors.
Who in particular isn't getting paid?
If they planned on 313, they might as well go 314.MattnSTL wrote:Something in my mind wants me to say 313 ft., but I could be wrong.
the St. Louis telephone area code, that is... there is no limiting height of 314 feet, no.

But of course, I need to work on reading comprehension

...it was a dumb joke anyway. There will soon be a finished concrete and glass tower in DT St. Louis. That's something to build on.

With that being the area code (as humorously discussed in previous posts), it could be an easy, if not extremely cheesy, marketing campaign... If they even need to market the project to sell the units.

Exactly. Well, what used to be the "Freedom Tower" anyway. Now it's got that catchy new name "One World Trade Center". Blah.
OT: BVP may be an absolute mess, but it still doesn't even compare to the fiasco that is the World Trade Center site. That's simply embarrassing.

Thankfully.
313' was going to be the Centene Tower's height in Clayton before they lopped off several stories. Now it was be another stubby mid-rise in Clayton.
Someone had mentioned that they saw a rendering that listed the top floor at 290', but this height didn't include the mechanical/rooftop structures that added ~25-30 more feet. So I would guess this tower may actually crack the ellusive 300 foot barrier that St. Louis seems to have a problem reaching. I would guess the tower could wind up around 325-330 feet.

Careful. Wentzville might try to build a strip mall 636 feet tall.
You know, I've always found it disappointing that the main strip mall in the Chesterfield Valley is split in two to provide better access to employee parking and loading docks. Instead of 2 1700 ft long strip malls, it could have been one 3500 ft (2/3 mile) sideways monolith.ecoabsence wrote:Careful. Wentzville might try to build a strip mall 636 feet tall.
Just walked by on my lunch and looks like it's up 10 stories with the 11th story being worked on right now. It's at least 2/3 the way up the Mayfair so I would think this thing would nearly double the Mayfair height.
I saw a few pedestrians "wowing" when they saw it - probably surprised to see this going up during this economy.

Glass has gone in on parts of the first and second floors, giving a hint as to how the finished product will look.

Picture? Is there a webcam on this project perchance?

Left my phone at the office when I went out today, but I can snap a pic tomorrow if no one else provides one before then.

I saw them hanging the glass yesterday, I sure hope whoever lives here has lots of curtains! It's quite something to see all the activity going on right here. I haven't been in this part of downtown for a while, so it was pretty cool to see it up close.

Sure... just like everything else that was planned to happen around st louis.
