Straub's is very creatively managing to stay open for business while they renovate their space. The new floors are wood laminate, lighting has improved, the ceilings seem higher.
With Whole Foods opening later, Straub's will get a chance to actually make an impression with their new digs.
^It's turning out really well. Looks like a high-quality project.
I understand people being disappointed by its conservative nature and the lack of modern projects we have in the city. I went on skyscrapercity (or page, I get them confused) last night for the first time in a long while and started looking around. I know Nashville is a city that people here bash on a lot (personally, I love Nashville, but I understand where they're coming from), but I was amazed at the number of projects that city has right now. I lost count of how many 25-story+ towers are either under construction or planned. However, mixed in were plenty of projects like this one - more conservative in nature yet high in quality. So the point is, I think we do need more modern inspired projects in the city, but its tough for me to criticize a developer for building a high-quality project just because they use a lot of brick. This will become a huge asset to the CWE.
^ That's a pretty cool story.... I'm glad they persevered and finally able to get a good project built. And who knows, maybe Stan will decide to build a new Rams stadium on his own dime and call it Enos Field!
Building's really looking good. Thanks for the last update Goat. Does anyone know if there will be an entrance to the Whole Foods on Euclid? It be nice if there was, but it's looking like most if not all of the Euclid frontage will be frontage. Is it possible the first entrance is about five windows East on W. Pine?
