That's what happens when I don't read the whole thread. Still, I had never seen this picture until I saw it this morning.

It might be creepy, but it is certainly not unexplainable. It's either dust on the lens or the flash reflecting off dust in the air. Do people really not know this?

OK, so if we rule out dust on the lens, then this is dust in the air (see above).

Thanks for posting, those are very interesting shots. If you are looking for some ideas about places to go shoot/explore check out the St. Louis section of the underground ozarks site (just google it).

Thanks for the pics. BTW, I've captured "orbs" in every dark and empty building I have been in, even if I have a completely clean lense.

Awsome photos. Thanks for posting. I'm fascinated by squalor too.

I'm always impressed by the way any community - even homeless squatters - develop their own codes and rules of conduct.

Someone oughta shoot a documentary in that place.

working on ideas for a documentary about the homeless in st. louis.

and to the scrutinizer,..its not dust in the lens, and i doubt its dust in the air. if im wrong i need you to prove it, i cant take your word for it.ive seen this elsewhere. but thanks for trying to make me look bad.

trespassing, yes. but we dont damage anything or disturb anything, which is what i meant.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. Since you said it was "creepy", I suppose you are insinuating that it is some sort of paranormal presence. You are making the claim. You provide the evidence.

I've seen it elsewhere too. Like in my condo. And my car. And on my desk at the office. It's called "dust". But gosh, there certainly wouldn't be any of that in an abandoned building, now would there?

I see nothing more than dust in those pictures. Anything in the air will get light reflected off it, dust included. Unless there's some kind of further testing (like getting some experts out there) I see no reason to believe that they're spirits. It's dust. Old buildings have it, even fairly new buildings have it (I could probably take pictures of dust in my own house).

It may feel creepy in the building, but (in my opinion) basically any old building feels creepy. That doesn't mean it's haunted.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see your reasoning.

Some people forget to follow some very basic rules about ghost hunting. Don't photograph in the rain, snow or fog and don't expect everything in your picture is a true ghost orb. Remember that even the cleanest home has dust. When doing an in home investigation and someone is walking around shuffling their feet on the carpet, then dust is being stirred up . A lot of digital cameras will pick this up and it will look like an spirit orb. The pictures below are a good example of orbs. Notice how the one on the top taken at a cemetery if perfectly round , the second was taken at an in home investigation. The second orbs are slightly odd shaped, some are almost egg shape. A lot of the dust orbs are flat and lack dimension. We have seen many sites that are willing to post anything that is "roundish" and call it a ghost orb. We've even seen one picture of someone on their front porch smoking and all around them were hexagon shaped anomalies. They called these ghost orbs. Orbs can very in size, color and brightness. It is believed this has to do with how much energy the spirit is able to bring through and the distance between you and the spirit. The best advice we can give to someone is to examine every orb photo you get. If it's misshapen, lacks depth and texture you have a natural anomaly such as moisture, dust or even an insect flying past your lens. When in doubt, throw it out. We have hundreds of photos that we do not post because we feel they are not a true ghost orbs. We examine every photo carefully and do our best to determine the true from the false. Spirit orbs will greatly effect the electromagnetic fields and dust will not.

It may be a spirit orb, but I wouldn't automatically assume that. buildings have plenty of dust, so that's very possibly your "spirit".

Everything they have ever "caught" is 100% explainable. And it ain't ghosts.

The new "Internantional" version is not very good, but I really enjoy the original.

And Central I don't think you can explain away everything they can catch -I'm not saying they are ghosts but just that there's often not enough evidence (or any evidence) other that say a voice or a sound on a recorder to deduce what caused it.

Awesome pics, I'm sure something will be done with this place. The location is too prime; especially if choteau's 4th street gets going.

Have at it. Considering they try to disprove and recreate everything they catch, I'd love to hear your opinion.

If you want creepy, squalor, and homeless, see existing thread about the cass tubes/tucker tunnel..... Apparently there is a whole community down there. I posted a pic of the entrance on the thread, but I value my life and my camera, so I did not enter, plus I was alone.
