Could it be true, that Carlos Brito is backing STL?
Did he really make a call to the NFL in support of the Rams to stay in STL. This story couldn't get any weirder!

Jason Cole reported StanK's trashing of STL, did not go over well with many in NFL circles. Is he overplaying his hand? We can only hope! I almost want to see him fail, as much as I want NFL football to remain in STL.

We'll get the MLS soon enough, I believe. Then consider that the NFL will be a shell of itself in 20 years, and I'd say we'll be just fine.

PostJan 12, 2016#3604

Kroenke will NOT be taking the Rams to LA ALONE. The owners will vote on the other options still.

This is interesting because I was under the impression the way they had to vote was team by team. But instead they appear to be voting scenario by scenario.

Agreed. Now if we could just get promotion and relegation.

Vote is currently:

Rams+TBD in Inglewood
VS
Chargers+Raiders in Carson

After one round of that voting, the Rams+TBD in Inglewood got more votes, but neither hit the threshold of 24.

PostJan 12, 2016#3607

EDIT: This is likely from the initial round of voting. So this is referencing Kroenke trying to move alone. Still bad, though.

They're not gone yet. But they're gone. Look at this from Martin Kilcoyne (@martinkilcoyne2)
The #NFL owners began voting process with each proposal voted on. Inglewood #Rams vote was 21-8-3. 21 for. 8 against. 3 abstained. #fox2

Twitter has multiple reports that Goodell et al are now moving forward on the Chargers-Rams plan.

At least our Convention Center can book huge conventions in a few more weekends in the fall.

Personally, I'm glad it didn't work out given how the finances were looking. As a city resident I don't want to be solely on the hook for a regional/state project.

Wow. I just watched the Relocation announcement on the NFL Network..........and as I suspected, the goal was ALWAYS to return the Rams to Los Angeles once Kroenke bought the team. That is not what was said, but that was certainly the undertone. I knew the owners would vote for Kroenke. I've seen their dirty work with other relocations.

A lot of statements such as, "We're happy to see the Rams return home." "This is good for the L.A. market and the NFL", "This stadium is setting the bar for all of sports."

Kroenke spoke about how he lives in the L.A. area. Goddell characterized the relocation, as "The NFL approved the return of the Rams back to the Los Angeles market". Goddell is a LIAR. He suggested the NFL is going to work to get football back in St. Louis. bullsh*t.

He had to say that to appear "sensitive".

Stan essentially said the lease on the EJD caused major problems and that the Rams could not get a reasonable deal in St. Louis on the new stadium. LIES. He claims he participated and said, "Just because something is said, doesn't make it true." in regards to his non-participation. He claims the Rams organization had been working on lease agreement issues since 2002.

It's so hilarious because Kroenke started working on a new project in L.A. as soon as he got the green light from arbitration. It was his plan all along to throw curveballs at St. Louis.

I repeat.......Kroenke and the NFL could not wait for the RAMS lease to end.

In retrospect, St. Louis was doomed. The NFL and Kroenke had no intentions to keep the Rams in St. Louis. They were going to poke a hole in every St. Louis effort no matter what. They had to pounce on the opportunity to get an NFL franchise back in L.A. - even at St. Louis' expense.

And the Chargers and Raiders got ***** in the process. I don't think those teams will ever be able to move because the terms of use for a second team in Kroenke's stadium has not been worked out with those other teams. I could see co-habitating NFL teams in a stadium owned by Kroenke as a problem. It WILL NOT happen.

The NFL is going to eventually give more than $100-million each to the Chargers and Raiders towards new stadiums. In my opinion, the Chargers and Raiders have been used as pawns and were duped so that the Rams could leave St. Louis. They compromised potentially to their own detriment.

^^ they are getting that $100 million on top of the $200 million G4 program. The same amount they said St Louis shouldn't have asked for

I'm a lousy speculator and even worse at predictions. That is as obvious as Stan K move back to LA

Going back to Arch City comments. I'm not so sure that the Chargers were duped. I understand the owners approve the Chargers the option of going in with Stan. That gives them huge leverage in San Diego on the June vote. I wonder if San Diego will tell the family to go pound sand or go begging

Instead, I wonder if the Disney Exec is the one who got duped by Spanos, buying into the Carson City and like myself the bs comments coming out of Rams and Chargers organizations.

I also have to agree that it sets up the next city bidding war for Raiders. I would include Las Vegas along with St Louis and San Antonio. Amazing how St. Louis gets screwed and Oakland

I think Spanos was hit with a bag of bricks in the face when that first vote went 20-12 for inglewood. NFL made it a secret vote so owners who may have supported Dean but liked $$$ associated with inglewood were able to vote inglewood. Chargers really have until March of this year to decide what to do. If they want to move this year that is the absolute latest. If a June vote fails they will lose boat load of money in a lame duck season in SD. So I think they will do some polling and if that isn't good they jump ship in March 2016

Did anyone get as angry as I did when silent StanK spoke? He couldn't even put a sentence together. He was so socially inept. Then you start looking at what he said. He mentioned working on this since 2002!! Really!!!? When the Dome was 7 or so years old! BS! Then he said that he was fair with STL, that he was part of the process. Just because he claims to know Nixon, doesn't mean he was involved. He also complimented Bornstein and Demoff. Yeah, KD was great at lying to us over and over. Stan knew he was leaving for years, yet KD was on TV saying they wanted an option for STL. I truly feel, there was NO WAY STL was going to come away with the Rams. Stan was going to move no matter what and the NFL was going to do whatever it could to make it happen. It was a rigged process. Carson seems to have been a sham, to make sure Dean and Mark had some leverage on StanK. It got Dean a possible arrangement as a "partner" in Inglewood and both $100 million.

On another note, it angered me immensely when Goodell & his cronies laughed not only at StanK's joke aimed at Frank C. to open the press conference but the cartel members also laughed at Martin K. when he got a little fired up and asked a legit question. StanK basically tried to imply that he was fair with STL, worked with STL, gave STL every option to save the STL Rams and participated. BS!!!!

PS- Amazing that NFL.com almost immediately switched the Rams page on their website, to the 'Los Angeles Rams' page.

I think the last few 1/10th of this interview with Jerry Jones says it all. Near the end of the recording, Randy Karraker asks if the fix was in from the beginning. Jerry Jones says no, but then says Kroenke's plan was too good to pass up. He said people like Kroenke are called "Angels" in the NFL.

So essentially the fix was in, and they just went through the motions to make it look like they were following a process. When in fact, they were going to warp the process anyway they needed to in order to get the plan the Angel was offering.

Videos from the Relocation press conference as seen on the NFL Network.

At the 5:30 mark, Goodell talks about "The return of the "Los Angeles Rams" to their home."

Must see Kroenke......

You gotta feel bad for him. He worked his ass off. And the NFL NEVER intended to let the Rams stay. EVER.

That was even evident to me when they came to town for the bullsh*t town hall meeting that was held at Union Station.

You could tell by the affect and body language of the NFL representatives they sent.

It was only PR formality and an attempt to salvage some disgruntled fans.

The NFL knew all along they were only stonewalling to get their ducks in a row to shoot down the St. Louis proposal.
