^Thanks, appreciate that. Better clarity. Not sure the name will take, but maybe it will, like the Grove in FPSE, but looks like it will be pretty hopping area in a few years for sure. Especially if Iron Hill gets a kickstart.
I will still tell any visitor all of this is in Midtown.

Covenant Blu-Grand Center is a neighborhood. Grand Center is a theatre district.RockChalkSTL wrote: ↑Feb 02, 2023^Grand Center is its own neighborhood.

I wish they would rethink official neighborhood designations. Or don't even bother with them as they don't reflect any local understanding of the areas. Everyone knows its Grand Center what purpose does the official name of Covenant Blu serve. Dogtown isn't a neighborhood either, but it is as far as I'm concerned.

They are really moving quick on this build, but at think Callaway has this down like McDonald's does.
Drove by this morning and attempted to estimate the view from Grand. This will have an impressive skyline view, from downtown all the way to AB from the 2nd and 3rd decks. Inside amenities and event spaces will look at CWE/Midtown. Gonna be impressive. Chesterfield is well situated, and I don't see them losing too much clientele, but this may be the STL flagship location when it is all said and done.

For once I even halfway agree with you. But just for the record, I've known it was Midtown since before there was a Grand Center. (And I worked for them for a brief little while in the late 90s.) All this official neighborhood business is rather fishy as far as I'm concerned.STLEnginerd wrote: ↑Feb 03, 2023I wish they would rethink official neighborhood designations. Drive by update - Structure has been fully Tyvek'd and concrete bases (~15' or 20') are poured/in place for net posts.
Looks like the poles are up one or two more levels as of today.jshank83 wrote: ↑Apr 01, 2023Today
Almost all the poles are full height now. It also looks like the area you hit to is ready for astroturf now. There is a paved (or something similar) base now for it.

Net support cables are going in as well.
Just driving by it seems like a smaller hitting area than others I have seen. Shorter and skinnier.
The last cavity is much closer to the end netting than I’m used to seeing
Seems fairly close to the Chesterfield one. The Earth images aren’t nearly as high quality as the Google Maps images. You can see many distortions and “wavy” graphics in these images.
The width seems usual, I see what you mean about length, but zooming in it seems there is some sort of white strip along the back that may be playing tricks on your eyes. Notice where the poles hit the ground in the back.
Still, wouldn’t surprise me if they had to massage the dimensions on an urban site like this one.

The white strip is basically a retaining wall. The balls that make it all the way to the back collect there.
Nice! I guess they're still tracking to open this year then? I kind of wish the lot and the facility were swapped, but it's not like a wall of netting would do much along the street lol.

Really moving along. The skyline views are going to be awesome.

I measured chesterfield at 660 and eyeballing midtown and it looks 660 feet too.
I'm glad it ended up closer to the railroad tracks. My long shot goal would be for the surface lot along Chouteau to eventually get developed.EssTeeEll wrote: ↑Jun 08, 2023Nice! ^ That's true. And if they still determine parking is needed at that time, they'll have that space between facility and the tracks (assuming they also own that).

As much as I hate parking lots, there’s something beautiful about a (kinda) well done freshly laid lot with good curbs and landscape islands.walker wrote:
