I have been to City Topgolf several times. Mostly it has been busy, but at times not as busy as I would want it to be if I were the owners. That being said, after speaking with workers, they do a lot of corporate events/work functions & cater to lots students in the area. They need to really focus on the corporate events, market deals for all of the local companies, AB, Ameren, SLU, Purina, etc. There are plenty of customers to be had. They should also be trying to get people to come from the IL side, southern IL etc. What has probably hurt this location is the demise of the local sports teams. They all pretty much suck, but most notably, the Cardinals who used to draw 35K-45K most nights are drawing way less. Maybe a Topgolf shuttle to & from games would attract more fans. Lots of things City Topgolf can do before ever considering closing IMO.

This was always a fad that got an extreme boost for being an outdoor-ish activity during COVID. This business was always going to have a short life span.

I think it is sustainable & could be profitable over the long haul, but they need to lower the prices. That is the big negative for the average person. It is not cheap, especially when you throw in the food & drinks.

I go every now and then.  Its not slammed like the Chesterfield location but it always has steady business.  I don't see it closing anytime

I go in the mornings on the weekdays when my schedule allows. All you can play til noon for $15 is a a good price. I usually fire up one of the sim courses and play a couple hours.

I feel like the crowds are decent for that time of day. Maybe half a deck or so. Many times they are setting up for corporate outings.

I went last weekend and dropped $80 for 30 minutes, a pitcher of beer, and some pretzel bites.  That says it all.

Two tips:
  • watch for the specials. Connect with them on social media and sign up for emails/texts.
  • you can buy gift cards at Sams. $80ish for $100 value

All this price talk is just a little off putting to me. I went back in August with a group of friends (5 of us I think), had 2 hours, 5 drinks, appetizers platter, and a flatbread for $140ish. It was during the week so the cost for the 2 hours was half off I think.

Go on Tuesdays. It’s honestly a pretty awesome location, definitely the coolest view of any Top Golf I’ve been to. Most of them are like the Chesterfield location, not hitting golf balls into a monument and skyline , My friends that visit love this Top Golf. Need it to do well to keep that area of Midtown going

2nd this. They have good specials. It’s half off mon-Thursday all day now.

Weekday mornings $15 per person before noon

$30 an hour after 10 pm on Friday and Saturday.

$30 hour all day Sunday.

Costco also sells $100 for $80.

So unless you are going peak hours on Friday and Saturday it is $31 an hour or less. Which isn’t too bad.
