People love to complain. I live nearby and that intersection must be top10 for one of the most depressing, ugly, and dangerous for pedestrians/cyclists south of 64. I really cannot imagine how you could make it worse, maybe building a nuclear waste disposal facility and completely removing the sidewalks? There is already a lot of traffic and cars fly through the traffic signs, often running red lights. That sounds to me a clear case of more traffic actually making things better (by forcing those who treat Chouteau as a highway to slow down).

If there was ever a case for making an intersection a traffic circle its Choteau and Compton.

Vegas has one just off the strip and Baltimore has one basically downtown near the Ravens stadium. Those are the only two I know offhand that are pretty urban. Might be others.

Nashville's Top Golf is in that crappy junk yard and tractor trailer parking area across from downtown and not far from the Titans stadium.

Birmingham's is just adjacent to Downtown, so it may have this beat narrowly

Yeah Nashville’s is in a dump that I would not call “urban” despite its proximity to DT.

Thanks for info on Baltimore, LV and Birmingham

Well Nashville's TG is going to be much more urban soon, this is what is being built immediately to the north and Northwest

Good progress thus far. Nice to see. Is the framing all but finished now?

Fortunately I don't have to drive out to/through the sprawlish hellscape that is Chesterfield Valley so my gauge is off. But I want to say that TG went up and was done pretty quickly.

So on Monday 12/26 I looked for a reservation opening this week. The earliest opening I could find was New Years Day.

As of right now on this nice Thursday afternoon the Top Golf app says walk ins are a 2-3 hour wait.

Prospect Yards? Is that a new name?

^that's the old account for the development across Grand if I remember correctly. They've (or someone) kept the account up.

Nevermind, after looking I don't think I'm remembering correctly...

I think the name was announced a few years ago, but the area making up "Prospect Yards" appears to have expanded a bit further east over time.

It seems like technically that area is classified as Midtown, but it always seemed a bit of wishful thinking to me to imagine any idea of neighborhood stretching North/South across the railway/intestate divide so I'm a little happy they're attempting to define it as its own identity. This area is going to be fairly lively in the not too distant future.

So midtown is now has entertainment hubs Prospect Yards and Grand Center?  Does every 5 blocks need it's own moniker?  What are the boundaries of Prospect Yards?  What are the prospects of Prospect Yards?  What perspective will prospective prospectors have in prospect yards? Will they put a Yardhouse in Prospect Yards?  I thought this area was part of the Chouteau Greenway / Lake development corridor.  Will it be crossbranded akin an NFL stadium?  "The Armory at Prospect Yards on The Greenway"?

I think we are getting a little zealous with the hyperlocal branding...
