^ it is open 365- 10 am to 11:00pm weekdays and to 1:00 am Friday and Saturday
I would guesstimate they do well north of $100,000 in business a night on Friday and Saturday nights
On the other side of what I said above, imagine living in The Gate/Steelcote/Armory and being able to walk to this. A true urban TopGolf would be so much fun.
Also, apparently the Chesterfield TopGolf is the highest grossing one in the world. Wonder if that trend will maintain here.
Here's a Nashville article mentioning that they'll need 500 for the one location:
"Topgolf, the popular sports entertainment venue set to open on the East Bank of the Cumberland River this fall, will soon begin "auditions" for the 500 jobs it hopes to fill in Nashville. Available positions include servers and bartenders as well as kitchen, maintenance and guest services staff." https://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/n ... e-for.html
Between Target, Foundry, Armory, and Top Golf… a tight service labor market might become even tighter for suburban business without good transit access.

Speaking of, do we know how the pedestrian infrastructure will look when complete? Are they planning for walk-ins and bikes, or just for folks arriving by cars?
And that's interesting re: the Chesterfield location! Where'd you hear that, if you don't my asking?

I have no doubt it's towards the top but don't see how Chesterfield surpasses the Las Vegas location which is wider and has 4 levels. Plus their prices are much higher at Las Vegas and they're open more hours.

Funny how St. Louis latches on to certain things. Supposedly at it's peak the Creve Coeur TGI Fridays was #1 in the chain. Or the St. Louis Laclede's Landing Planet Hollywood was for a while the busiest: even over key tourist locations
^The issue with those locations is there is way more competing for the entertainment dollar. They HAVE to have a little extra size/bells/whistles to compete.
I've been to the Vegas TG. Not overly impressive by comparison to ours and not that busy when I was there (early evening weekday). Chesterfield is always packed. Sports and beer/drinking is STL's wheelhouse and this business model speaks to our market.

The last time I was at the Chesterfield Top Golf was for a work event in August when it was 100 degrees. Even on a Wednesday the place was jam packed and IIRC every bay on the top level was being used.
I guess it is a sign of the strength of the market for their product that St. Louis will have two.
That's really exciting stuff. If the city Topgolf can draw numbers close to the Chesterfield location, imagine the surrounding impact that it will have on nearby businesses. There's lots of people in metro east and south county that will go here instead of driving all the way to Chesterfield.
If you're looking at just traffic (visits), Chesterfield ranks 12th out of the 64 over the past year. Not bad, but not the top. Vegas is #1 by a long shot.
And just because someone mentioned it above, the TGI Fridays in Creve Coeur closed, so I guess it's reign at the top was short lived.
City is expecting this to generate about $2m in sales tax which would put expected revenue at about $21,000,000 and let’s say it’s $40 per person (bay fee, food, drinks, etc) that would mean about 525,000 visitors or about what City Museum gets
^^I would point out that persons through ("visits" or "traffic") is only half the equation at TG. While in a place like Vegas, the throughput might be higher the average allocation per patron or time on premises may be significantly different. One can imagine that TG in Vegas is a "layover" between bigger events or pre-game location for visitors, so they spend less time and money per visit, while in STL TG is the destination, so higher spend and longer visit. The length of visit is important as TG charged for bays by the half hour. And when considering the gross number, one has to think of corporate events, parties, etc. Local labor costs and other factors would also impact those numbers. I'm not saying its likely, but it is possible.
Interested to know where that #1 grossing location information came from. Regardless, Chesterfield has to be doing exceptional as not many metros our size - and particularly not in warm weather locations - have multiple.
^Just to add to the equation. Top Golf also rents out rooms to companies for meetings/events/etc. My company has rented out their conference room a handful of times this year. You can also rent out the terrace.

I read it on Reddit, so 100% take it with a grain of salt. Wouldn't be surprised though. It's consistently busier than the others I've been to.
Well, that’s kind of cool. Thanks for the heads up, I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise haha.
^ Regarding the highest grossing location rumor, not sure if it’s true, but larger markets generally have more than one which spread the customers around more. Golf is really popular here and I would think St. Louis being the smallest region with more than one has to speak to the gigantic success the Chesterfield one has been…at least a little bit.
I forgot you can reserve a bay if you're a member. Tried to book for tomorrow at Chesterfield and there was nothing open. In fact the soonest I could get in was Monday.
They are easily 5-7 days out for reservations at Chesterfield. Weekends you have to book week before. Reinforces my point that TG in STL is a destination!

I live in Tampa and the one here is somewhat of a destination, but you can definitely get a bay the same day within a couple hours. If you go during a weeknight you're definitely walking straight in.
