I'll look for a mod like that. Not sure if it exists, but it is a good idea.
^ I recommend adding in BBCODE tags for embedding video and stuff. Is anyone interested in that?

Matt
You obviously DON'T CARE
You're getting FAT while we STARVE.
What are you doing to correct these issues?
Seems to me you would want to collect your paycheck this month.
But you don't deserve it.
I hope the UrbanSTL board of directors fires you.
You suck at this job.

YES! The Urban STL Board of Directors should convene immediately and vote to allocate top management and the necessary funds to address the issue immediately. If acting admin/CEO MattnSTL cannot act effectively he should be terminated and the severance package should be gutted!

Whoa hold on now big guy, I appreciate your passion but the guy has got to eat - let an altered version of the severance package remain. I vote 6 mos health insurance and one months salary (which is about $20,000).

I vote for beheading of all mods next Bastille Day in Soulard.

I don't know about you, but that looks like a decapitated head to me.

I'd be happy to just keep my health insurance.
As long as I get to jump out of the top of the Arch with my golden parachute. I've always wanted to do that.
Just don't try to parachute onto the Arch. Didn't work out so well for the last guy who tried it.

But seriously Matt - respond to my private message - even if you respond in here.

No kiddin'.
Usually when I'm not on for a week I come back to 30 new posts to read in Urban Living. I forgot today that its been down. My sad life gets sadder
Edit: I actually have a great life.
So I've browsed last night and this morning, and the forum is moving nicely. Hopefully it's because the move was made.
Guarantee this forum would be lightning fast and highly scalable if it were to be configured like this:
Virtual Private Server
- http://knownhost.com/what-is-vps.html
High Performance Server Tuning
- nginx (high-performance webserver)
- php-fpm (fastcgi)
- apc (opcode caching)
- memcached (db caching)
- sphinx (efficient, SQL full-text search engine)

You'll hopefully have a chance to work on some of that soon.
For those that don't know, which would be virtually all of you, the forum move is potentially being changed around a little bit into something even more exciting. Details are being worked on, but it should turn out really well if we can do it.

^I actually love the present configuration, minus the sometimes speed issue. Hanging onto the current way that things are organized would be nice, IMO.

No matter how a transfer is done I imagine the priority will be to maintain all comments/categories and log-ins so no one will have resubscribe. I think St. Louis really needs this forum, quality blogs and more to pull together the best advocates for the city. I'm optimistic that good things are on the way!

I don't know if switching to Firefox on my laptop has made a difference, but now my account actually stays logged in most of the time.
MattnSTL is right, and Grover, your optimism is appreciated. Stick with us, because good things are in store!

^Great. I meant from more of a way things are organized standpoint. I think the sub categories are arranged pretty nicely, but once again that's just me.
