^On the other hand, the neighborhood used to be defined much more generously. In colloquial terms things in the neighborhoods now called Kosciusko, Benton Park, and McKinley Heights were typically said to be in Soulard. (The Queeny Plant, Globe Drug, and . . . oh . . . Anheuser Busch.)
If you asked almost any St. Louisan where "the brewery" is they would tell you Soulard even if it isn't within the neighborhood bounds.

What are the official neighborhood boundaries? Google maps shows the brewery in Soulard and so does the map on the city's website.

Great move. That brewery makes amazing stuff but the location was terrible. Hopefully they have a big sign out front facing the highway

Bummer for Bloom/Paraquad. I was hoping they'd miracle a comeback.
Charleville is closing their Chouteau location. Really sucks as we enjoyed their beer (have for about a decade) and was in walking distance. I wonder what the lease was like from the Hamiltons. At any rate I don't think it got all the same love and attention from the brewing community as those like 4 Hands, UCBC, etc.

As far as Center Ice goes parking has always been a problem during peak times with Pappys taking over the lot. I have a feeling that this isn’t the end and (fingers crossed) we will see a new location in 2022.

Very sad to see Center Ice close it's taproom. Great place and I've met the Owner Steve Albers and can vouch he is one of the nicest and most genuine people in STL. Does a ton of charity work with the Blues and an Autism foundation.
The pandemic really hit the taproom hard and I don't think they had the capital to continue to run a place that only filled up on Blues gamedays.
Glad to see they'll still be producing beer, hopefully they reopen a new physical location someday down the road.

I've been several times, mostly before SLU basketball games, I would have gone more had they opened their front door. You couldn't actually enter the location from Olive Street, so people walking by never came in because they had to walk all the around. Whoever has that lease next should use the front door.

I only went there once, years ago, but I entered off of Olive. They were still building out at the time so once they completed the production side of things, they must have closed it off.

The old Charleville spot would be a great landing space for them. Easy parking and close to Enterprise.

I assume they've got someone contract brewing for their retail beers. It might make more sense for them to just partner with a prominent local bar to be their "taproom" rather than taking on the expense of running a bar on their own.
