Hey all... So just for a little update on stuff happening @ The U.

Starting this week (and every week as long as it goes well) we will have having Trivia Night Wednesdays and Open Mic Night Thursdays. We will have prizes for the trivia night (such as free tickets to Jazz at the Bistro, gift certificates and more). Open mic night will go as unregulated as possible, just a place to voice whatever... anyone on a rant about urban development in STL, come on up.

Also, by the end of the week we should FINALLY have our liquor license and will carry a wide variety of beers, probably starting with about a 15 bottle selection and growing if demanded. We will also have a couple of wines and maybe a mixed drink or two, pre-mixed kinda thing.

Oh, and our curricula has expanded and The College of Aviation has opened. Enrollment has begun for WNG 101, offered in Hot, BBQ or Teriyaki!

Starting Monday... The School of Burgernomics!!!

6 great burger options (like the Bacon Blue with bacon, blue cheese, grilled onions, thousand island or the Slinger Burger with fries, chili, cheddar, onions and a fried egg...) all served on a toasted brioche bun and always served until 3:30 AM every night.

Also we are continuing our Happy Hour Every Hour specials, Bud, Bud Lt and Select $2 and all Schlafly, Fat Tire, Heineken, Labatt Blue and Bud Lt. Lime at $3. We will also do $10 or $15 6-pack buckets that you can mix and match...

And finally a third bread option, a soft French loaf will be available starting Monday as well.

Thanks for all the support from everyone on here so far, keep it coming! I'm always up for suggestions and comments too.

Fantastic! I've been looking for a good place to get a burger between WashU & downtown. This works great for me!

Now you're talking!

Bacon Blue Cheese burgers are probably my ultimate favorite food. Well, maybe after filet mignon, but you can't have that every night.

I'm really happy that this business has had so much success. It's a perfect reminder that the downtown/midtown area needs access to businesses with late hours. The dedication and quality that the owner of this place has put into his work should be commended. It can't be easy, but he does a great job.

And the more businesses that open up in the area, the more attractive the university becomes to prospective students. It's a win-win for everybody.

Agreed. Despite all the bashing Biondi gets (alot of it well deserved) I am happy with the positive impact the university has given to the surrounding areas.

Just thought I'd let everyone on here know...

In a few weeks The U. will be expanding our hours and opening for breakfast. Date is not set in stone yet but look for early December. We will be opening at 6:30am M-F and at 8am on Sat and Sun, and breakfast will run until 11am during the week and most likely until 2pm on weekends, and this will make us really close to being open 24 hours a day (which is an eventual goal).

The menu will be all fresh, quality ingredients just like we use on our regular menu and will feature mostly pancakes, omelets, breakfast sandwiches and a few other items like French toast and, of course, a Slinger. I am particularly excited about our caramel apple pancakes... :D

Thanks for all the support over the last year and a half or so from all of you on here; looking forward to being around even more.

Will the Sunday hours only be for breakfast? Just curious because I can never find anything for dinner when I work Sundays.

In the beginning just 8am - 2pm on Sundays, just a breakfast menu, but in the future we hope to be open until at least 10pm, but that is probably still some months off.

Have you thought about expanding your delivery area? Opening it up to Fox Park, Lafayette Square, Benton Park, Tower Grove would be awesome.

That's a hell of an area to cover. The U's current area plus what you're talking about is serviced by 4 or 5 Dominos Pizzas
