The clock tower could go and they save them selves some money but really its not that bad. I wish we could just let the whole hatred of Citywalk's design drop.

Aventura wouldn't be that bad if it didn't have all the parking, weren't vinyl, were taller instead of longer, had a different name, etc.

...had entrances from the street, wasn't a barricaded fortress, wasn't about to double in size, etc.

Citywalk has an insane amount of parking. I'm sure Whole Foods required it, but it's really crazy. At least it's structured and hidden. The problem there is that it's just a massive waste for the developer. A structured parking space is $25K-$40K. Imagine if just two fewer spaces were built and that money went to a creative architect. SMH.

Its currently over budget from what I'm told. I assume they're going through some sort of value engineering process right now to lower the cost.

I'm not holding my breath on this one. Weren't they supposed to start construction back in February or something?

I had heard that construction start has been delayed until November. Your guess is as good as mine though on whether this true or not.

I would not say it won't happen. Whole Foods already has signed on, and that would be a low-blow to the area if that is not built. Also, The developer has come so far, it would be a bigger waste of money for it not to be built. Any updates on Opus either?

Oh no I definitely think it'll get built eventually, I just wouldn't be surprised if it goes through a scale-back or construction doesn't start for another year or so.

The current delay is partially due to adding a story, I think. I don't see it being scaled-back.

The November prior to the official IKEA announcement.

Honestly think you and Alex are trying way to hard to say something without saying it.

Poor Gone Corporate was thrown into in the Big Muddy for stating something that wasn't ready to be stated. Surprised he didn't get tarred and feathered afterwards to seal in the mud for good measure.

Right. Another way of saying it is it will be the November before the start of the Loop Trolley but the November after the next Cardinals World Series win. Does that make it clear?

Hey, that means it's this November!

Maybe...Hopefully. Probably.

I was walking past this site about a week ago and my friend pointed out how bad it looked. Lucky for her, she had me there to reassure her it won't always be that way. Looking forward to it. Maybe even fiveward to it.
