$30.8M building permit issued for Edwin

Weird that they said new retail space coming, but didn't say Target.
I mean. It's par the course for local news. I never expect them to tell the full story. When it comes to development features, I've found it's always generalized and not meaty. I think they feel like they've done their job just by saying, "look suburbanites. A new building. Ooo shiny shiny. *end segment*" hahaquincunx wrote: ↑Aug 15, 2022Weird that they said new retail space coming, but didn't say Target.
I get that the focus was on Steelcote Flats and not the Edwin, and I certainly wouldn't expect them to talk about how the residential parking is 100% subsidized by shoppers, but Target going there is the biggest news of the whole thing. And then Top Golf.

"Only on four." And USTL, NextSTL, CityScene, maybe even the business mag and the Post Dispatch. They're a little late to the party to be acting like this is some big scoop. But hey, if it works for them.

That's going to be quite the transformation when all of it is finished.
I was very skeptical when they started in on this area. I just couldn’t see how redoing a building in the middle of an industrial area was at all a good idea. Happy to be wrong.

I’m sure it’s used plenty for the grams and TikkyToks. Most roof pools aren’t really designed for swimming it’s a hangout space which has become a basic amenity these days in most trendy apartment buildings and complexes.framer wrote:That pool looks pretty useless, though.
$3.5M building permit issued for build-out of the Target.
$277k building permit application submitted for the pool at Edwin. And a $225k one fore fire sprinkers.
The one for the pool was issued.quincunx wrote: ↑Mar 25, 2023$277k building permit application submitted for the pool at Edwin. And a $225k one fore fire sprinkers.
The intersection with Papin is being built. It's all blocked off and there's no notification. At least on the west side you can walk through the vacant lot, if you're able-bodied. On the east side there is the bike lane, which is risky obviously.
