Good to see they upgraded their website to include the St. Louis project.

Is the cashier still going to be allowed to smoke at the front desk? I never really understood the concept of having your clothes cleaned in a place where there is chain smoking going on. Do any non smokers get their cleaning done there?

I was perplexed by that too. Incredibly old-fashioned. I thought it was funny because I love characters and places that have character, but I wouldn't get my clothes cleaned there again. Also, I don't think they have air conditioning in that building. old school.

[The entire 19 floor is sold (ameneties floor, I believe there are 3 penthouse units), and it appears as though they are selling well as they have only been open 6 weeks. He stated that they were set to begin construction o the first of the year (I'm assuming sometime in January). I did not have the good sense to follow up and ask if that was real construction or demolition, sorry guys, I'll remember next time. quote]

Does anybody know what the sales are at now?

Not sure of sales, but I know they are doing a lot of the hosting for fashion week starting today I think. Should be some good exposure.

Skyhouse is reporting 41 contracts, which I think is a lot!

^ That is very good news I hope this means construction is still on target for the top of the year.

I'm going to try to email the sales-rep for skyhouse and get some updated numbers on sales, etc. He's a pretty nice guy, so hopefully I'll have some info in a day or two.

They have removed (Cut it out of the ground) an old parking sign from the lot next door to the skyhouse and have now put up yellow tape around the site... Any ideas what is going on?

It appears the parking lot has simply been closed. Maybe they are getting ready to demo the building so construction can start whenever they meet the sales requirement.

Definately not a crime scene? I figured, but you never know. Or definately not construction/demo prep?

^Touche. It could be any number of things besides demo prep, that was just my optimistic idea.

I drove by today and Bellon Wrecking was disconnecting utilities. I think the building may in fact be coming down soon.

That's deffinitely the best news we've heard in a while...too bad it's gonna be at least another 2 months after they began demolition before any construction can begin. (assuming no other delays)

I am a big fan of both Skyhouse and its local development team, but I do wish they would replace the street tree they seem to have removed from in front of their Monkey Building sales center.
