Is it me or are there fewer "windows" covering the garage than there are in the rendering? It looks like a wall of cement...Anyone else notice this?

Definitely fewer. That is my one big gripe with this project. I am interested to see how the Euclid face is clad. Hopefully more windows. And I think the tower would look much better with metal cladding instead of the textured concrete finish. The shine of the metal combined with the windows would be really nice. The concrete dulls the building down.

BTW, Look for new pics from me on Tuesday.

Hopefully the streetfront retail will have some interesting signage that will distract from the streetwall of the parking garage.

Yeah, I'm a bit dismayed by the amount of concrete too. But I think Jivecity has a good point. Once the retail is up and running, things should look better.

Once again my promise for pics fell through. My plans for Spring Break changed so I was unable to get there on the orginal Tuesday. I went there yesterday but I had forgotten to put my memory card back in my camera and the internal memory was full still from a trip back in January. Maybe next week...

I drove by the site yesterday and the tower is looking pretty good. It will look even better once OPus starts on the 6 story loft project in the parking lot next to Park East.

The tower is up to 21 floors now if anyone was wondering. This leaves 5 more floors plus the cylinder thing, so the tower still has a good chunk of height that needs to be added to get the roof height of 288'. Then I think they planned throwing a spire on top to get 330'.

Here are some quick photos of the tower from several vantage points within Forest Park....

Nice pics, Southcity. I especially like the first one, looking up Euclid. Now picture the 30-story Mills tower added to the view just a block away from Park East.

Where can I get more information about this "Mills Tower". Where is it going to be located?

When the building does top out, it is really going to make its presence known. I was on Clayton Avenue behind Forest Park Hospital this morning and there she was again...

It's up to 23 floors now. Only 3 more(plus the cylinder thing which should add about a story of height) and the 40 foot spire to go.

Yeah, I imagine that as soon as it, The Lindell, and the ROE are finished, there's going to be nicely improved skyline from various vantage points around the city.

I anticipate more residential towers too.

Maybe a Clayton pizzazz~

I mean this in the sense of how Clayton built many high-rises in the 1990s that forever changed the place and skyline. I just hope CWE builds higher and more.

Well, the three new ones if all get done will be 3 of the four tallest buildings in the CWE. Its great that the CWE will be changed by this new round of development.

This bad boy looks like it is taking shape now. How many floors do they have left?
