There is nothing better than an evening in your underwear, scratching the hairs on your chest, roaming the internet, and coming up to this.

OK fellow Urbanstl forumers...I am such a freak about this project, and I check it almost daily to see the progress of this tower.

I know I don't post as much as other people, but I cannot wait until Park East is topped out. With the 4643 Lindell under construction and the Renaissance starting soon, I might have to start making daily trips to the CWE.

You are all awesome :D

Oh and BTW UAB, thank you so much for the updates...the pics are awesome!! Keep them coming if you can!

Thanks UAB, for all the pics and posts. I'm sure I speak for all of us living outside of St. Louis who love to see the progress of the Park East on this website. Now that the tower is basically sold, OPUS has sort of lost its motivation to update their own website. Thank god for the little guy. Now if only someone could sneak inside the building and take pictures of the inside. Did anyone keep their Ninja costumes from grade school?

The thing I love about this tower is that it is visible from so many areas: Forest Park, CWE, Wash U area, and 40/64 heading west.

I'll do my best to keep you guys updated. I can see the place from my neighbors' condo so it's easy for me to get pics.

As I drove west on highway 40 today, I mentally inserted the upcoming Mills and Lindell highrises into the picture. In a couple more years, the CWE is gonna have a really significant skyline. 8)

It's great to see this building go up. One of my best friends has purchased an apartment here, and I can't wait until he moves in.

Driving on 44 everyday for work, I always try to sneak a peek when I'm passing Kingshighway.

There is now an American Flag flying at the top of the building. Does this signify that they have reached the complete height of the building (without the spire)?

Most likely topped out. They were putting the forms in place for the 26th floor last time I was by, so it should be poured by now. Iron workers traditionaly place a christmas tree and a flag, but since this is a concrete structure, I would assume they only use a flag.

Here are two pics. If you look at the top of the building on the West side the floors are rounded on the ends. Is this going to be a deck?

I think this tower is probably the single most exciting development in the city, not only because it's sleek, modern, and sits on a former vacant lot, but it is somehow symbolic that the city's renaissance new buildings as well as old ones. The momentum is only increasing, and I hope we see some high-rise proposals for Midtown soon.

Here you go. They have centered the spire this morning. Last night it was placed off to the side which made it look like a cell phone antenna.

Here is another view. The spire looks odd in this place. Kinda makes the tower look like a big cell phone.

That can't be the final place for the spire. It's not even centered on the very top.

This tower is truly transforming the CWE skyline. I love it. I'm disappointed with the base though.

Matt - In the final renderings, wasn't the spire facing the street similar to the last pic UAB posted? Looking at the last picture it seems to me that is how it will turn out.. I could be wrong though!

Anyways, thanks again UAB for keeping us updated!! I cannot wait until Park East is completely done! I think it will be a fantastic addition to the CWE skyline.

Nevermind. It was late and I was looking at the picture from the wrong angle. It's in the right place, but The rest of the enclosure for the top floor is not there yat. I think that's what's making it look so out of place.
