^ This building is going to be so much fun to photograph.
Thanks everyone for the various pics
^ couple thoughts on pic above.
First, the pic will get even better the day that a tower crane is filling in the gap between a completed One Hundred and the Plaza. Wish Koplar's would just sell the lot to someone like Bob Clark who has the muscle to truly put a signature tower at Kingshighway and Lindell. No offense to Koplar family but sometimes you have to let go to realize a dream and assume the Koplars themselves see nothing less for that corner otherwise a Quick Trip would have been there years ago.
Second thought, the pic is a poster child of why every city in the world would be better off if all parking garages where required to either have solar panels covering the top level (with or without space for cars below the panels) and or the top level is required to be a green roof. There has been some great articles of late as why cities need to get greener because of all the heat absorbing pavement and concrete out there impacting quality of life

Great points, dredger. With this building boom happening in the CWE, I can’t help but think how wasteful the Schlafly Library/parking garage is at that prime corner. That spot deserves much more than a 4-story parking garage. We can only hope the if/when the giant parking lot across the street from it will see something more ambitious.

Rents are now available for the 100 apts.
1BRs are going for 1800 (630 sq ft) to 2500 (850 sq ft), so just under $3/sq ft. Balcony 1BRs are smaller but more expensive.
Moving here from the East Coast, these prices are amazing. The newest and swankiest apts in STL are going for average/mediocre apts in Boston. The equivalent would be at least 3-3.5k.

I have been waiting on the great migration from the coasts to the midwest since 2012. It is coming. Hope you are the first signNewMidwesterner wrote: Rents are now available for the 100 apts.

According to a few different building sites, this is listed as 381' which makes this the ninth tallest in the city directly behind Bank of America downtown.
Most sites that I have seen list this at 385'.

One Hundred is a new residential tower overlooking Forest Park in St. Louis. The tower, Studio Gang’s first project in the city, will rise to 385 feet and include retail, amenities, parking, and residential apartments with views of the park to the west and the Gateway Arch to the east.
So according to Emporis, it’ll be 75’ taller than the Park Plaza (310’). That’s impressive—I always thought they would be about the same height.

Rents as of today. No rent specials either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
^That $7,970 a month, 3-bedroom must be on the top floor facing the park. I wonder if that is the most expensive apartment in the region. I know One Cardinal Way's most expensive is a bi-level penthouse on the 29th and 30th floors. That goes for $7,965 a month. Almost the same.
IMO from that high up the City side views will be just as desirable as the park views, if not more.
An $8,000 3BR very well may have views on both sides.

Will this building be among the top five most photographed buildings in Missouri when it's completed?
The Gateway Arch has to be, hands down, #1.
I would think Busch Stadium and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City would be in the top 5 as well.
Any other contenders? What else could potentially edge this building out?

There was an article in the Post-Dispatch a couple years ago about the most Instagramed places in Missouri. Busch Stadium was number 1 at the time. Followed by the Gateway Arch, Kauffman Stadium was 3rd, the St. Louis Zoo was fourth and the Nelson was 5th. They only did the Top 5.
I don't really know that there is a way to quantify the most the photographed building. I'll likely take hundreds, if not more of One Hundred once it's completed, but only a few of those will probably make it to social media or some other platform where you could track views. While One Hundred is more beautiful than any of those other places I listed, except maybe the Arch, at the end of the day it's an apartment tower. Outside of us fanboys/girls on UrbanSTL or those of us that really love architecture or photography it's probably not going to draw anywhere close to what Busch or the Arch would.

Jeanne Gang has global clout in the architecture world. People will come here just to see this building. It's instantly the second most globally recognizable structure in the city behind the Arch. Tall buildings as sculptural entities have become the calling card of progressive cities. Glad STL has joined the group.

I’m hoping something just as bold will grace our downtown skyline to compliment the beauty of the arch anyways we’re truly blessed to be getting such a architectural gem right here in St Louis specially in the CWE this is definitely making a statement on the CWE skyline it’s going to stand out for the rest of our lives.
