^yeah...it gets people talking. I have been to the burger bar @ mandalay bay in vegas...burger was awesome...bill was like $11
It really sounds like Pinnacle is making this an outstanding area. I'm looking forward to check both places out.
Foie gras. It is banned in Chicago. I suppose we have more imperialist republicans in St. Louis.

Sounds better than totalitarian democrats who decide what the serfs are allowed to eat.

This is the weirdest building building. It looks like a garage crashed into it on the south side, causing those brown support streaks on either side to buckle. I'm not sure what kind of architecture the rest is supposed to represent. Baffling is a good description of the style of the whole thing.
^Using the word architecture in any way to describe this project is a disservice to all architects.
I think people are way to harsh on this design. Yes, maybe from ground level the parking garage looks terrible, I don't know, but from the Eads I never noticed it. Plus, the great brown streak, I don't know if that is the final color or not, but I don't think it looks that bad. Again, I haven't seen it up close, but still.

Maybe the 'great brown streak' theme will be carried into the men's and women's lounges.
And, while we're being critical (who? us?!?)... where did this "Lumiere Place" name come from? It does NOT sound like a casino name. It sounds like a snobby, nuveau-riche high-rise condo name.

Lumiere = light in french - hints the first of it's kind cutting edge light feature.
BTW- Wouldn't it be cool if Lumiere did some promotions where they hired people to walk around DT and at big events wearing strands of bright lights? HINT
I heard back in August that they would be doing this. I hope they go through with it, I think It would be an effective promotion.

So, I assume that will be at night. Will they be wearing a baby sh*t brown streak during daytime events?bpe235 wrote:BTW- Wouldn't it be cool if Lumiere did some promotions where they hired people to walk around DT and at big events wearing strands of bright lights? HINT

SLU Med green panels meet Lumiere sh1t streak, now say goodbye.
To me, the absolute worst thing about this whole development is their recruiting ads. I mean, come on, who do they think they're kidding? Like you're gonna be "discovered" while schlepping drinks to a bunch of zombie-eyed gamblers?

Sure, but if they hire you that means you have "the look" haha.
[edit]: AND... a free fitness club membership to go along with it. They dont want any flabby waitresses in THEIR establishment.
Wasnt Abercrombie sued for not hiring a girl because she wasnt good looking enough or something?

You people are something else. The project isn't even complete yet and all you do is complain. When did this place turn into the Whiney Men's Forum?

I actually thought I was being funny and sarcastic. It is you, sir, who are being winey and complaining. But considering you have been registered since 2005, you should know that this has ALWAYS been the Winey Men's Forum.
