^ Well, the signature view will be from the south and to a lesser extent the East. Maybe a lot of people will see it from 70 heading East, but if they want to save a little $$$ it seems like the north side would be where to do it.

Just looked at the webcam, appears they have only 4 more floors of glass to install + the comb over. How does it look in person?

It's looking pretty decent. I like how even though it's a little removed from the downtown core, it still helps contribute to the "canyon effect" when viewed from Memorial/Fourth Street/Broadway looking north.

^Would you mind posting the link to the webcam again. I went back a few pages but couldn't see it (I have no desire to search all 40+ pages of the thread).
Using the webcam I noticed they're using real brick instead of the pre-fast faux brick used at Busch Stadium.

Well there has been significant progress on the cladding. Looks to be only about 3 floors and the roof to go. They stated the "light panel" on the eatern edge of the building, and I have to say I'm more than semi-concerned. It's brown. So now we are looking at two tones of blue or green and brown in between to mix them up. Still holding out hope. Pics to come tommorow. I'm too tired to do it now. Also, the awnings have been put in place at the ground floor, and there looks to be a sky-walk going up between the building housing the fish market restaraunt and the casino portion of lumiere. Extensive work now being done on the fish market building as well.
It looks like they're building a little village. Sorry to use the 'v' word.

I like the view of the construction on June 29th at 12:53pm!! Ha!
Caught it in the time lapse which is available at the top of the screen. Cool.

looks like they will not be making their scheduled november opening. Could be as late as february.

At least judging by the rendering one page back, it seems that they decided to save a couple million and make a somewhat less signature tower.

BTW, did they 86 the comb-over? I don't see any framing for it, and the screen wall framing around the perimeter of the roof appears to be finished.

I fully imagine the casino will be open well before the hotel.

well they are shooting hard to be open for xmas. The 4 seasons will open before the remodeled ES. Possibly to be renamed the Lumiere hotel.
Here the Lumeire Phase 2 plans look fantastic... Lots of glass residential towers.
^^Gaaaa!
It's the giant blue union laborer that ate St. Louis! Run for your lives!!!

Where did you hear this? Can you provide any more details?
Not a big fan of the brick rising up the front of the tower. Not really sure I like this building either. The St. Charles looking portion of the casino doesn't mix well with the flashy glass tower. Odd project.
everything cannot and should not be red brick. variety my man, variety!

well I know they want to begin phase two in roughly 2 years... They are looking to purchase more land in LL as we speak (not surprising)... I've known they wanted to do this since we saw the cryptic original picture of the model earlier in the thread. Then I saw all the renderings at the VIP Pinnacle tent at MG. And I've heard the model they have at hq out in Vegas is similar to the BPV in cost and quality. I'm sure we'll find out more info at the Grand Opening in December. I also know that Pinnacle is very highly educated on what's going on in DT stl and they are very excited to be a part of it (yet again, not surprising). Dan Lee thinks the Arch is the most spectacular piece of architecture in the world. I know this is all real vague but...

I don't want it to be red brick. As a matter of fact, I'm tired of red brick new construction in this city (see Clayton).
With that said, the red brick curve rising up the front of green glass is U-G-L-Y.
