I certainly don't.

The vestibule should be more creative than it looks in the rendering. You would think Pinnacle would want a flashier design to attract people. As it looks from the rendering, it could be leading to an underground MetroLink transit station.

The mayor mentioned something last evening in his Q&A with the DSLRA that they were doubling thier investment to around 800 million. Is this taking into consideration both phases perhaps?

Regarding the tunnel entry...a design that attracts people (what the heck is THAT!...wow, let's check it out!...etc...) would be nice.

BTW - did anyone else see the piece on the local news last night? Whoever was speaking for Pinnacle spoke well regarding the mix of retail, restaurants, condos, etc. He spoke about not relying exclusively on gambling. It was nice to hear.

They also showed the actual casino portion of the project and the building actually floats on water - of course no one will see anything of this, it was simply to comply to the letter of the law.

I absolutely love the fact that they are making it float on water to get around the law. Only in America.

It just looks like a 1961 bank branch in the rendering. I'm sure it will be nice...maybe with some orange or lime shag carpeting in the foyer.

But there's gonna be fancy lights and people movers and escalators. Come on people, get excited.

Maybe they want the bank feel to get you in the mood to drop a whole bunch of money.

Am I allowed to park the Rambler outside this fine building or do I have to park at the municipal lot where they are building the Arch?

It does kinda remind me of that sone-to-be-history bank branch on South Grand.

THERE'S the clip (I couldn't find it). I remembered they commented on keeping the President as a "boutique" casino. My question: whatever happened to all the talk about the hull needing to be replaced etc.?

Well this was a more positive Jaco report than his one about BPV, but maybe thats because he didnt have the opportunity to say tha the city is paying hundreds of millions of dollars for it...

It was interesting to see what the fake-moat looks like. The building doesnt even float as Jaco put it. It actually has stilts that have water under and around...

The guy interviewed from Pinnacle wrote:If you look at any development on the Strip in Las Vegas, it's when people take it to that next level that everybody starts to rise up and put the money back in.
I hope their goal is not to make the Landing look like the Strip in Vegas.

Im kinda dissapointed that we didnt get something as cool as the Mirage and Bellagio resorts in Las Vegas that were disigned by the guys doing this. Does anyone know the cost differences between those two and ours. I bet they were more expensive because theyre huge and in the vegas, but size and price doesnt vary directly with design standards.
