I'm thinking fuchsia!!
So, I guess that is the plan. For two weeks or so before every holiday they show appropriate colors. Whatever color that is for Valentine's Day, green for St. Patty's Day, and so on. It'd be nice if they did green, gold and purple for Mardi Gras...
BTW, I noticed that both hotels are now taking reservations for next week, so it seems they might be opening a bit ahead of schedule.

They are finally starting to show off the glohawk's capabilities. Check out tonight's pic at 5:48 pm.
glowhawk has been on all day. Now it is Purple Green and Gold stripes.
Webcam bump, 'cause I'm tired of having to dig back through the thread:

You have to love those jammed sidewalks outside this facility, they bring so much life and street theater to the Landing.

Pardon my naivety, but do you have your sarcasm turned on for this comment? maybe it's the 9:30 comment that threw me off...

I was referring to the 5:48pm shot. (and yes that was meant to be sarcastic)
Ah, see I saw the time stamp on your post and thought the sarcasm was a bit misplaced at that time of day
I currently work in Raeder place on 1st street. I'm no expert, but it doesn't seem to be any more lively down on the landing than prior to Lumiere, other than Lumiere itself... In my opinion, it seems even more dead than before, but that could just be because of the growing office vacancy... Just speculation.... I am sure we really wont be able to tell how it is affecting the surrounding area for a while. Although I gotta say, I used to see a giant sea of cracked concrete, gravel and broken beer bottles out my window where the four seasons now stands The casino also now masks my view of the empty Bottle District lot, thank god.

Seriously? We're in the middle of February--the worst month of the year for the Landing-- and people seem shocked that no one is down there? Give it a few weeks and some longer daylight hours and then let's gauge.

No Kidding... In this weather I'm pulling right into that garage. It's cold.
Four season, 12 nations
The 266 employees at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, which opened this week in the $507 million Lumiere Place development, were chosen from 3,312 applicants. "We are very particular and usually know within seconds whether an applicant will be a good fit," said Thierry Kennel, general manager. "We can teach someone the hotel business -- we can't teach them to be a pleasant person." Other fun facts: The employees come from 12 countries. The wine cellar has 4,500 bottles. The 200 rooms are stocked with 4,400 silk padded hangers.

Gotta think Pinnacle is pretty disappointed with the January revenue numbers for Lumière Place. Unless they have been giving away free money to lure people in, this doesn't look good....

I don't know if that really means anything yet. It's still new, and construction is just now wrapping up, so I would give it a little time before we judge it good or bad based on revenue alone.
I wonder how different those numbers would be without the 40 construction.
Wow, looks like lumiere is the best place to gamble with the lowest loss per person.
Also, does anyone know what the sqft in gambling space there are for these casinos?
Better to have a #/sqft since I know Harrahs is bigger than lumiere

I think those numbers are pretty impressive considering they've been open for about 2 months and are not too far off of the number of visitors compared to the established casinos.
