Someone signed one or more signatures on behalf of others in support of Club Lure/Amnesia. However, the valid signatories stated they in fact do not support Club Lure/Amnesia. Interestingly, the person that provided the signatures stated under oath that he was recently offered a job by Club Lure/Amnesia. I heard that the judge seemed unpleased with this discovery.

It seems plausible that Club Lure/Amnesia will lose by a couple signatures. We'll see on or around January 4th, 2011...

Why are signatures needed in favor of Lure? I thought the property owners needed the majority against Lure and that's it. That's why this situation has me so confused, in addition it sounds like it's the residents signatures against Lure are in question according to the media.

The process is not so simple. Any time before the hearing, a person that signed the petition could change their mind and effectively invalidate their initial signature. There were also some debates whether some units are within the petition circle or not. Also, at least one person signed the petition but messed up their address. The judge is asking both parties to present a written case and she'll make a decision after January 4th.

Is the person in question one of the tools who started the Facebook group, and/or have the initials JK?

Judge delays ruling: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/govt ... 78c22.html
The Trupiano family, facing city and neighborhood attacks on its liquor license, is looking for a buyer for the club, said co-manager Nick Trupiano.

"We're trying to salvage any investment we can salvage," he said. "They've already killed our business, and killed our name. Basically, our only other option is to lose every dollar we've put in there - or we try to sell it to a couple investment groups who have contacted us."
I feel so bad for him.

Where the operant word "they" could be described as Lure/Amnesia owners and a share of their clientele. For the Trupianos, it's far easier to deflect responsibility and hang signs in their windows labeling downtown as racist. Did supposed racism cause repeated damage to the Jack Thompson Square condo? Was it the cause of the other items detrimental to the neighborhood written in the complaint?

Some food for thought.

Boo Hoo!!! They have gotten what they deserve. If they wanted to keep a thriving club in a thriving neighborhood they should have done something about the smoke filled units above the club, attracted something other than the lowlifes that have patronized it in the past year, implemented a dress code, increased security, used parking spaces in moderation for the valet workers, and worked on their relationship skills with their neighbors. This all could have been avoided.

They're still alive, kicking and screaming. Just like babies, except not quite as adorable or innocent.

Has anyone noticed that the woman in the AB-IV story had been a waitress at Lure?

Any idea when the appeals court is going to make their ruling on this place?

PostMar 30, 2011#618

I find it interesting that they have started up their promotions again called Fierce Fridays. It will be interesting so hopefully it gets to appeals court soon.

They were only closed for a minute while they rebranded from Lure to Amnesia.

The owners had their license pulled therefore regardless of the name they were to close. It however hasn't went through appeals.

Club Amnesia is having a "Free Gucci Party" as a substitute for the canceled performane of Gucci Mane. His performance was canceled because this thug was just sent to jail for pushing a woman out his driving car because she didn't want to have paid sex with him.
Rapper Gucci Mane sent to jail for battery in Georgia

The Post-Dispatch' Kevin Johnson finds it no problem to promote this party:
Club Amnesia holds a 'Free Gucci Party'

Why is this club still open? And why do they still not get that when you hold parties in honor of a thug you will attract a clientèle that is likely to cause trouble.

Kevin Johnson calls it "humorous" that the club is throwing this party. I call it disgusting.

Am I just not getting it?

Judge says Lure can stay open and operate. Very disappointing. How are residents supposed to protect their assets from sleazy business models?
