That link is hilarious.

Doug, just don't look like everybody else. That's the main thing. You don't have to have money to buy good looking clothes. Actually, you can find a lot of great deals at Target, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and sales racks. Rarely do I ever buy something at full price, and it's usually only something that I feel I must have.

Interesting how this thread has become the most Metrosexual thread ever to appear on this forum.

That "striped shirt" site is awesome, btw.

^Appropriate for a thread about Jimmy Edmonds' restaurant though, don't ya think!

I don't like to wear my long sleeve striped shirt with the sleeves buttoned because some of the ladies might not notice my Rolex, so I either go short sleeved or roll up the sleeves on my striped shirt, just a little. My striped shirt is ***** awesome though. I also don't want my jeans too long or baggy else they conceal my chisel-toed Dolce & Gabbana boots.

-not that there's anything wrong with that.

^ I don't think so, but speculating about Jim Edmond's sexuality seems to be a sport for a lot of people.

(Since he's married with children it seems unlikely, but that hasn't stopped people from talking about it for years, even if only a dullard would care.)

Well, you all know the story...

Your gay friend, who knows somebody who knew somebody who slept with...fill in the blank. I have a story like that, about Jim Edmonds.

I really don't care either way. Actually I wish that our society was open enough that the gay ball players would come out already. The dude has a girlfriend, and a couple kids, so I honestly have no idea if he's gay or not. I just wish it wasn't a big deal within the game. If he can play ball, I don't care if he comes from Pluto, he can play.

Lots of people had that story about Fernando Tatis back in the day.

That same friend insists he has the same story about Rick Ankiel, but that one is friend of a guy he knew, of a guy he slept with, of a friend thing...so I don't know how reliable a story is thats circulated that much. That was probably more Rick was drunk, with some friends, and they wandered into a gay bar. I'm just sayin' rumors are rumors, and nothing more. :D:D

I apparently have no problem repeating them though.

Exactly. I just don't understand why anyone would care about a player's sexuality. I couldn't care less.

I once had dinner at King Louie's with Harry Shearer. Now that was entertaining. (No dress code there!)

I'll bet! I got to meet him (briefly) when he was in town for Teddy Bear's Picnic about 5-6 years ago. He's been a long time favorite of mine, going all the way back to the early days of SNL.

Same visit. The frequently mentioned Tom McDermott came to town with him, and we started the night at 33 before wandering over to King Louie's. I really didn't care for Teddy Bear's Picnic, but the guy is a fabulous wit and a great dinner companion.

If there was ever a funnier SNL skit, I didn't see it.
