Ex-Dorsa resident

Nope. The rendering is correct. Great looking building, isn't it?

Too bad. I liked the Deco facade.

Um, maybe I'm wrong, but the Deco facade is still there. Isn't it?

I'm with Framer on those colors...they look great. And I'm very glad the deco/moderne green exterior was retained. Together, these two points ad up to great contrast and a very visually appealing urban landscape.

It would be very nice if the interior space is retained! The interior is the only part of the 1946 remodelling actually designed by acclaimed modernist designer Meyer Loomstein. St. Louisan (and Washington University instructor) Sascha Schnittman designed the facade.

No, strangely it really only happens when there's awesome renderings...and even then it's only occasionally.

Original 1946 rendering credited to Meyer Loomstein:

Thanks for posting that. It would have been great to see it re-created.

I agree.

At least we can still save the interior!

By the way, this drawing closes a hole in the question of who designed the facade. It was Loomstein who designed the facade and whose seal is on the drawing; Schnittman must have been the designer and sculptor of the terra cotta elements. I apologize for offering incorrect information.

Isn't this facade recreated in the new rendering? Or am I missing something.

LOL. Well, you're missing the details and the charm of the original design. But, you're right that it is still green.

Down to only 15 units left unreserved (not including the display), and 3 of the penthouses are gone.

Gotta say, though, that I'd love some more progress pictures.

When looking at Dorsa vs. Bankers, what are the major differences between the buildings?

Delivery date, number of units, and the exteriors. That's about it.

Bankers is to be delivered soon, and Dorsa not until sometime in early to mid 2007.

Bankers has about 75 total units, and Dorsa only has around 50 units.

You can look at the exteriors of each to see how they're different.

Similarities:

Same development company, same amenities, similar range of square footage (anywhere from 1350-2000, excluding penthouses), etc.

There may be more, but not much is finalized with Dorsa yet.

Hi All! I Just wanted to jump in and introduce myself. I've been observing the forum for some time, and one of my friends is also a member. This is actually the first forum I've ever posted to, but I think it is about time, and I don't think I could have picked a better one to do it in.

I'll be moving into the Dorsa, unit 308 (back side of the old-fashoined looking building, I believe it's 1015?). I'm getting pretty excited...I've accompanied my friend to the Pyramid Loft Design studio many a time, and have already started rolling around options in my head.

I keep tabs on the Dorsa website a lot, and it would be nice to see more pictures, however, I know that Pyramid is focusing their resources on Bankers, so when that starts winding down, I'm sure more pictures will be posted.

So ends my first post, hopefully the first of many...Nice to meet you all!

Good to have another future Dorsa resident to talk to. My wife and I will be in 304, and we watch the website quite a bit, too.

I'm expecting some new pictures fairly soon (though I've been expecting them for months now). After talking with Stirling, I'm also expecting the call for contracting to happen within the next month or so. So that's fun.

I'll be working downtown this summer, and I'm probably gonna be in the Pyramid office quite a bit, so I'll post whatever I hear.
