Are you referring to the Leather Trades Building?

Is there not some unfinished work in the common areas of the building, or did the bank complete that work?

I believe that is downtown? Then, no. This one is farther toward SLU, I think.

That is now being completed (or is about to be), along with work on the facade, proper front door signage, etc. I've definitely seen them working on the facade.

So what bank took this over? It sounds like they really have their act together if they are completing the unfinished work already.

I'm not sure what happens to the historic tax credits in a case like this. I suppose they could go to the bank once they complete the work, but since the bank didn't actually incur the restoration expenses...I don't know. If there is a way, I'm guessing it would involve a mountain of paperwork. In any case, the tax credits would provide a strong incentive to finish the building quickly.

Dorsa current status(correct me if im outdated)..

 Premier Bank is the bank that took over the building.

 It seems Ranieri Construction is finishing up the building right now.

 The management of the building has gone to CIVITAS.

 As far as the block of units to be sold I have not heard anything. I would love to see the building finished and full of tenants/loftowners.

 Does anyone know if there is any future plans for the Dorsa Building(the remaining "funky" part next to Mizu)??

How many units are unsold?

I don't know. The remaining units are no longer in the MLS listing.

I found out today the building is pretty much finally finished. I talked to a contractor. I also found this interesting article about whats happening to pyramids portfolio now 8 months later. According to the article, there are 20 remaining units left in Dorsa. I posted the link.....very interesting...

good find.

PostDec 04, 2008#411

I hope Premier finishes the outside of the building. They still need to repaint the green "art deco" outside, they need to FINISH THE DORSA SIGN!? Currently it just has Dorsa, but it is suppose to have 3 streaks running horizontal. You can see where the support bars are for them. I dont understand what is taking so long, because as soon as it is finished, the city will release the historic tax credits for the building. But until it is finished... everyone loses.

Good news, is that the building inside is great, no complaints.

It appears as if the remaining Dorsa condo units have been put back on the market as mixed purchase or lease!

Oh my! Thanks for posting. If these prices don't get people to seriously consider buying downtown, I don't know what will.

The two story penthouse is over 2600 square feet and selling for 394,900. Not sure what the assessement is or how the lack of sold/rented props will impact the long term maintanance but it is a very attractive price for the size of the unit and location.

Hey all!

Seems like the info in this thread is older than dirt so I'm bringing back from the dead.
To all of you that are currently residing in the Dorsa lofts, how are you liking it? I'm moving back to the STL and I'm curious to hear how this place has held up. I mostly concerned about parking and noise.

Then why would you want to live on Wash Ave? (serious question)

I'm saying relatively speaking. I fully understand the inherent annoyances of big city living. I just want to know relatively, for a loft in the downtown area, whether or not Dorsa does it better than the other lofts in the area.
