I was told that a transformer had blown, and that Ameren UE was working on it.

The FD and Ameren are still there. They have a ladder up to the west wall of Bee Hat. 10th street is closed just north of Washington. I saw a fireman putting away a large ventilator fan. Ameren is next to Bee hat, and another truck on Washington in front of Dorsa. The manhole into the storm sewer on Washington has been removed and there is a safety cordon around it.

Only question I have... if they are offering the lower floors as retail.. where will they put the signs? I hope they make it contract that it has to match the current style.

If what Pyramid let Good Works do to Bankers is any indication, don't count on it.

I'm unsure of what happened in the Dorsa, but I live in the Bee Hat and we were evacuated this morning as well. My building has a backup diesel power generator that spewed god knows what into the building's air when the power went out last night. Carbon monoxide levels in the building were higher than normal this morning and I woke up feeling pretty awful, likely side effects from the CO. I feel better now, but I'm a little pissed about this, considering the generator was likely not appropriately ventilated.

I probably could've been a little more animated, but I resisted temptation.

My fiance and I bought one of the penthouses at Dorsa and are hopefully moving in soon. Does anyone know how far they are in the progress? They keep telling us that it will be ready around March 2008, but that is only weeks away and we still don't have anything in concrete. I know that the penthouses are the last ones to be done. Does anyone know what level people are already moved in? If you live there, how do you like it? We cannot wait! :D

If your contract is similar to the one I got when I bought at Bankers it probably says you'll get 30 day notice..

We are on the 6th floor waiting for our 30 day notice. We probably could have moved in by now, but we had some "modifications" so it taking a little bit longer.

However, the 6th floor looks almost done/ done. And I would assume the penthouses would def be done by late march.

We are on the 4th floor and just closed a little less than a month ago. I don't know if anyone is living on the 5th floor yet, none of the people I've met so far are, but I haven't run into many folks yet though. We like it here a lot though! We just had some more painting done on our own and it turned out really well. The new colors really fit with the brick.

If there is no concrete at this juncture, you may have reason to be concerned. In all seriousness, one of my friends bought a penthouse at Dorsa as well. Congrats!

Building Features and Amenities

Restored turn of the century façade

Were they planning to restore the original facade of the building? The green and white facade is new than turn of the century.

I just thought that was interesting.

I only have one picture posted right now,

When they mean "turn of the century" they mean mid century as innov8tion said.

Next they will be restoring the three golden streaks on the green facade.

The name of one of the restaurants going in on the ground floor is now up on the windows.

Officially moved into the Dorsa.

So far so good. We were actually kind of disappointed we did not find ONE problem with our unit. Not even a dinky scratch on the walls. Pyramid really has their stuff together. This is their... 6th project downtown?

We are on the 6th floor, and in the morning we hear them working on the 7th.

Will post pictures once we have everything arranged.

Anyone know where to buy cheap blinds that can fit a window 70in X 102in :)

Welcome to the Dorsa!

Which direction do you face? We had thought about getting blinds, but it turned out that the way our unit is situated we don't receive any direct sunlight (although that could change in the summer). It's nice since during the day plenty of light comes in without it being too much. We face North, although the western sun is cut off from us due to the 07 units.
