Nice to see the progress rolling along - Let's hope that means Paric will be on site soon!
Didn't grab a picture but fencing going up along Olive st. Looks like it's finally getting started!

This project is going to have a massive impact on its surroundings in the Downtown West neighborhood.
Fill this big boy up, and I think you're going to have a lot more new construction and rehabs in the area. Would be nice if the building that went up in flames a few months ago saw new life.

^ Let's f***in' goooo! The impact of this cannot be understated. Thanks for posting those, Chris.
With materials prices already high going nothing but upwards as of late you wonder if maybe some proposed developments for existing downtown structures make sense. I wonder if Jeff Arms and Railway Exchange would have some movement by now if it wasn't in part to who owns them. Heck, between those two and 909 chestnut you have built structures at a fraction of cost for what it would to put all that steel, brick and concrete in place.

what about the interior parking is that going bye bye? Seems like that would be a premium option draw

Between this building and the MLS stadium, right now would be the perfect opportunity to rebuild the Olive streetscape into something a little less terrible. It already squeezes into one lane in each direction with a center turn lane in front of the Police HQ, hopefully this can be formalized between Tucker and Jefferson. It's such an unnecessary traffic sewer as it is.
^^ I don't think they're really losing any parking spots. I think there's at least one spot for each unit.
I counted over 400 spaces from the SLDC plan room bidding docs.chris fuller wrote: ↑Mar 11, 2022what about the interior parking is that going bye bye? Seems like that would be a premium option draw

Also . . . lovely stuff. Thanks for posting this Chris!
Trivers does good work. I imagine the interiors will look even better when complete than the renderings show.

This is very exciting I’m so glad this is moving along without any road blocks sadly my confidence level in Jefferson arms redevelopment progressing is waning anyways I hope there’s more in store for this area so much potential. I know this is off topic but I would love to see downtown streets get a major overhaul. Road diets major beautifications reduced speed limits speed humps etc. this is one of the more exciting developments downtown.

Couldn't agree more. Would take a bit of cross-ward collaboration, though, yes? Or would that just come from some general city fund?GoHarvOrGoHome wrote: ↑Mar 11, 2022Between this building and the MLS stadium, right now would be the perfect opportunity to rebuild the Olive streetscape into something a little less terrible. did I see gas stoves? For a modern redo thats not very modern lets get beyond gas https://twitter.com/weact4ej/status/1490773520619556871
That would make sense if 90% of St. Louis' electricity came from nuclear, hydro, and gas the way New York's does. But firing up your electric stove with 1/3 coal energy for the next 15-20 years is truly not very modern.chris fuller wrote: ↑Mar 13, 2022did I see gas stoves? For a modern redo thats not very modern lets get beyond gas https://twitter.com/weact4ej/status/1490773520619556871
