Cool. I admire your perseverance, if not your blase attitude towards the law.
Any news on this project, btw? Are the Roberts in fact planning on taking the it over?

Here is a set of photos I took of the Arcade from atop a scissors lift (I was up there to see if the wires that hang the vaulted ceiling have rusted to the point where they might fail... fortunatly they are in great shape).

I have literally thousands of photos from my several years of work on the building. I will try to post some more sets to Flickr.
As for the question what has changed: At the time the job was halted, selective interior demo was complete down to the 11th floor (everything outside the historic corridors & elevator lobbies has been cleared out). Basement, sub-basement, and first floor retail spaces have all been cleared out as well.
Have not heard anything lately about anyone taking over the project. Its sheer size is likely holding back prospective buyers. I would not be suprised if the building sits until the lending market loosens up again, which may be a while. Even people with large projects of comparable size that have all their ducks in a row for financing are having to jump through many new hoops to get the banks to come to a closing.

I have to believe you're right. Spinnaker is supposed to develop at least some Pyramid properties, but I have to imagine The Laurel (former Stix Baer & Fuller/Dillard's) is their first priority, and maybe The Concord (St. Louis Centre) after that.
Getting information from them, however, is like getting information from Cordish. Good luck. That doesn't bode well for The Arcade, and I cannot imagine any developer stepping up until the markets improve, and who knows how long that'll take?
Aside from Ballpark Villlage, this is the one project downtown I am anxious to see completed. Thanks a lot Pyramid, for biting off so much more than you could chew.

Can you imagine if they had gotten the Syndicate like they wanted. Thankfully the city did something right and realized Pyramid had too many projects already.

no alarm can stop me!
my best adventure to date, this building amazed me on every floor.
the view of the city was awesome.
pics later....maybe.

Geez that is a rediculous amount of parking that can be seen from window. I love how all of the top decks are empty of cars as well. Please tell me this was not taken during the week? If so, demolish a garage already!
new word on this place? anyone know? new boards up over all windows on ground floor, and a new door...
