Kinda of reminds me of that Shop n Save on Chippewa that's split by the city/county border.roger wyoming II wrote:The associated map again shows that the grocer is (90%?) located in the city, so hopefully it gets the sales tax revenue.
Glad to see the 24 hour diner. I've been saying for years the Loop needs one.bchao524 wrote:Joe Edwards will also open a new all-night restaurant called the Peacock Loop Diner, occupying 4,800 square feet. It will be the Loop's first all-night place to eat and will have old-time diner features like a pie case and will display peacock jewelry and other items from Edward's personal collection.
Both businesses are scheduled to open in August 2014. Read more on STL Today: http://goo.gl/nvXAV
^Me too. Great news! The name is pretty generic. Someone should have ponied up a big donation to get it named after them!

^Awesome shot. Thanks for all the updates. Like you said, it's a bit curious that they haven't started 1B yet. Maybe they just need it as a staging area for 1A, 2 & 3.
Look how empty the parking lot is to the west of the AT&T building. What a waste!
The two lots and the AT&T building is a HUGE waste. Angers me much more that the old Church's or the Mobil station by far.quincunx wrote:Look how empty the parking lot is to the west of the AT&T building. What a waste!

Does anyone have informed knowledge of when we may expect the next phase of the master plan to start? Or will this be it for the time being?
There is only one question that matters: where is the tan vinyl siding? You can't *really* call it new construction without tan vinyl siding.
A firm date has not been announced but it has been implied that the second phase will follow fairly closely. I would guess that it will open in August of 2016, which would give Wash U one year to evaluate demand for Phase I before breaking ground.
What is Phase II and where will it be?roger wyoming II wrote:Does anyone have informed knowledge of when we may expect the next phase of the master plan to start? Or will this be it for the time being?

Really appreciate all the updates. It's such a great project to follow. Is there still no movement on building 1B?
