Felix's Restaurant in Dogtown

The customers and employees were smoking away last night. Said they did not qualify for the smoking exemption. I overheard an employee/manager say that politicians would not take money out of his pocket! :?

I get the feeling that CS was the kind of kid who tried to get the other kids in trouble because he felt they were having more fun than he was.

Somewhat OT but I was at the Tin Can Morganford the other night and was pleasantly surprised to see it smoke free. Of course there was a lot of open griping about it and the bar practically cleared out between trivia rounds...but it was nice to see.

Good to hear! I love the TinCan and was wondering if it might be one of those on the fence (not sure if their food receipts were more than 25%)

Knowing this definitely gives this establishment a leg up on deciding where to have a drink tonight!

I believe you also have to be older than 80 to get into the Doc Haus.

Nice Jake! Any other places that are allowing smoking in Soulard? I'm going to be keeping a tab on Wash Ave and will report what I find...

No surprise here, but I believe Super's Bungalow Beer Garden on Leona still allows smoking. Side note, they have two beers on tap and one of them is Fat Tire.

Add the Pour House to the list that will NOT be smoke free. They are right now, but the bartender said they have applied for the exemption an will get it. (thumbs down)

Well then, I guess I don't need to go in there.

Drove by Pour House on Saturday night and folks were outside smoking.

The place was busy and the smokers didn't look too put out, so why change?

Not a bar, but Harris-Stowe just banned smoking from the entire campus: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/educ ... 2bc8b.html

I know WashU was talking about doing the same thing a couple years ago, but I don't recall if they followed through.

ETA: According to the Post, WashU and Fontbonne are smoke free too. SLU wasn't mentioned.
