I work there and am privy to actual attendance, as in ticket scans.dweebe wrote: ↑Oct 26, 2025Not sure what you're talking about. The Blackhawks game was a full house at the start but was weighed down by a 8:55pm puck drop on a week night for a regular season game. It did empty out quickly because the game was half over at 10:30pm and the team was losing badly.

Blues pulled a little bit of a cinderella run last year (and should’ve beat Winnipeg in that game 7). I think the team was not constructed well last year either. Maybe they could go on at least run to be in contention for a final playoff spot again but I think this season will probably get away from the Blues by the new year
Unfortunately downtown really is suffering from our sports teams poor performance in the W-L column

They’re only 8 games into the season now when they’re 40 games in & at .500 or bellow I’d be highly concerned. I do think trading away Bolduc was a bad move. In all it’s still very early & time for improvements.

Last night's loss was a ***** stinger. Akin to Game 7.. just something in the water at EC that breeds a culture of turtling ever since Andy Murray.
Advanced stats suggest they should improve. Normally they overpreform middling advanced stats but so far are underperforming pretty good advanced stats.PlatinumBlues wrote: ↑Oct 27, 2025They’re only 8 games into the season now when they’re 40 games in & at .500 or bellow I’d be highly concerned. Tonight's game vs Edmonton will go in as a sell out, but actual attendance was in the 17k range.Auggie wrote: ↑Oct 26, 2025I work there and am privy to actual attendance, as in ticket scans.dweebe wrote: ↑Oct 26, 2025Not sure what you're talking about. 6-10-4 so far I think they should really try & get a top 5 pick for a change if things don’t improve in the next 20 games will be 40 games in & near halfway point.

Take the loss and rebuild. Tear it down. Trade everyone that's an issue or buy the ones out who have NTCs.

Just wanted to point out in the year we won the cup we were the absolute worst team in the entire league in January.
Lots of time to right the ship.
Lots of time to right the ship.
That team had Ryan O'Reilly, Vlad Tarasenko, Alex Pietrangelo, Jay Bouwmeester, and a out-of-nowhere franchise goalie who would come up halfway through the season.
Not really comparable at all. That team was meant to be a cup contender, this team is meant to be a playoff contender who would have missed the playoffs last season had they won 11 in a row instead of 12.

That team looked like they were close, even when we weren’t winning. This team, or the system they are playing looks very broken. We looked like the worst team in the league against the Knights.
I was also shocked to see the Knights weren't faring much better in the standings than we were.TheWayoftheArch_V2.0 wrote: ↑Nov 18, 2025That team looked like they were close, even when we weren’t winning. Their goaltending has also been awful.Otthouse wrote: ↑Nov 18, 2025I was also shocked to see the Knights weren't faring much better in the standings than we were.TheWayoftheArch_V2.0 wrote: ↑Nov 18, 2025That team looked like they were close, even when we weren’t winning. The Columbus Blue Jackets arena is 6 years newer than the Enterprise Center, but apparently now "needs" $400 million + in renovations.

Blues will be looking for a new arena in the early 2030s and i assume the price tag will be $1.2-1.5B

Perfect timing for the Pelicans and Blues to co-own a beautiful 22,000 seat arena in Chouteau’s Landing bridging the gap between Soulard and downtown. What a scene at least 82 nights a year.

I think they’re more interested in the post office site next doorwhitherSTL wrote: ↑Dec 05, 2025Perfect timing for the Pelicans and Blues to co-own a beautiful 22,000 seat arena in Chouteau’s Landing bridging the gap between Soulard and downtown. What a scene at least 82 nights a year.
Downtown post office doesn't need to be there any more. Up until like 10-12 years ago they used to hussle mail from the train track to the post office: not any more since its all by truck.whitherSTL wrote: ↑Dec 06, 2025In my opinion, that site would be a mistake.
- Relocate courts and health department from that ugly former FHA building. Tear it down and build new garage with ground floor retail, offices.
- Build new arena on post office site. Retain historic entrance and lobby somehow.
- Tear down Kiel Garage and Enterprise Center. Keep Stifel theater.
- Build hotel and residential on the Kiel Garage and Enterprise Center footprint.
Would it make sense to do a major overhaul and addition (sort of like Kroenke's initial proposal for the dome) on EC vs building out new? I've not been to Nationwide so I don't know about the game experience or how well it's been maintained but EC still looks great after all the recent updates.
Where? The current "problem" with the Enterprise Center is it's jammed into a too small footprint. Other arenas are 800,000 to 1.1 million sq ft white the Enterprise Center is under 750,000. If you've been to any other modern full-line NHL/NBA arena you'd notice their concourses are two to three times wider. The only exception are the United Center and Madison Square Garden.pdm_ad wrote: ↑Dec 06, 2025Would it make sense to do a major overhaul and addition (sort of like Kroenke's initial proposal for the dome) on EC vs building out new? If the current building has to be kept, I would like to take the Kiel Garage down and renovate the arena with the new main entrance copying something like Indianapolis' arena with the grand hall and public plaza.

Then under that would be an option for NBA offices and locker rooms.

Blues team offices are in a windowless basement right now
