I get the feeling that the soccer stadium excitement has worn off a bit. But, that's just my opinion.

Well besides Union Station and Butler Bro's, nothing has really happened near the stadium to keep momentum going. It was going to be the "it" development spot but once again nothing has actually materialized outside of some renderings
Those are still great accomplishments on their own, I think a lot boils down to population growth and the economy.GoHarvOrGoHome wrote: ↑Nov 11, 2025Well besides Union Station and Butler Bro's, nothing has really happened near the stadium to keep momentum going. I feel that especially in "hot" neighborhoods you need to at least have one or two good projects under construction at all times to keep the growing vibes going. It's been fully stagnant for over a year now outside of the data center. If they actually start this building we are back baby.

Hey if the climate isn’t conducive for 314 to break ground anytime soon I hope they don’t scrap the development & instead put it on hold till conditions make it more favorable for them to take on the project & get it off the ground. I think a development such as this is crucial for downtown west…. Fingers crossed.

The smaller scale buildings and the redevelopments are worthwhile and I could those happening before the tower (as has always been the case).

I would rather see the smaller buildings break ground first then possibly the taller if possible in all if done as is this will be a phenomenal development once finished it will give downtown west a different feel…. There’s so much potential I feel like we’re right on the cusp to good things..Chris Stritzel wrote:The smaller scale buildings and the redevelopments are worthwhile and I could those happening before the tower (as has always been the case).

Is this the same project that tried to crowdsource financing?
That is how they raise capital for alot of their projects.TheWayoftheArch_V2.0 wrote: ↑Nov 13, 2025Is this the same project that tried to crowdsource financing?

Something to note, the city automatically cancels a permit if it’s been approved and not picked up for 6 months. Most likely what’s happening here, not sure if there is any recourse other then restarting the process
AHM's recent acquisitions of Chroma and the 10 CWE prime properties makes me think they're upping their holdings for new construction.
More cash flow could make underwriting easier. Just a thought.

They paid a premium for the CWE properties with several tranches of debt. Cash flow is tight. Alot of additional contingent recourse debt. I am not sure that it actually makes a difference with Locust properties getting built but it certainly doesn't help the cause.dylank wrote: ↑4:54 PM - Jan 29AHM's recent acquisitions of Chroma and the 10 CWE prime properties makes me think they're upping their holdings for new construction.

This article says they plan to start construction on 2125 Locust in Q1, followed by 2100 Washington.

I don’t see many projects moving forward due to the state of the economy & a possible pending world war we’re in scary times that’s for sure

-RBBThe developer of a new 29-story plyscraper in downtown St. Louis, hoping to put the city on the map for tall timber construction, is planning to break ground late, pending development approval this year. That is according to Brian Pratt, AHM managing principal and partner, who said the 314 — a 287-apartment, 15,000-square-foot mixed-use tower at 2100 Locust Street overlooking Energizer Park — will be a “great marquee landmark for Downtown West.”
