He's not wrong and Smoothie King is not getting any less old, a rare case where Enterprise would actually be an upgrade. The Pelicans are gonna be STL's single best chance to add another big 4 sports team in the foreseeable future.

Maybe they wouldn’t see St.Louis as desirable or plausible even if we checked every box…. Just think they would prefer Kansas City over St.Louis also I’m just curious is all….

This is true. But I also bet the NBA is looking to expand too. Could easily have Seattle and Vegas be expansion teams with the Pelicans moving to a Midwestern city and Grizzlies moving to Nashville.
Louisville is too close to Indianapolis, St. Louis may also be though. I could easily see KC getting a Pelicans relocation over STL. But I believe that if STL had a well organized plan with city and corporate support, we would beat out KC.
I also can't really see Cincinnati due to lack of arena and proximity to Indy, and Columbus feels like Cavs territory, but they could also be a dark horse.

Same with Columbus. Not sure how an NBA team would draw at their downtown arena when the on campus arena is always full for college games.

There’s many possible reasons they could block by using the blues as road block enterprise center not being new but I personally think they simply don’t see St.Louis as a thriving area that doesn’t fit into their narrative & future I mean didn’t they block the grizzlies from moving here? Because there's no space in the arena for NBA standard locker rooms, coaches offices, trainers/medical area. The Enterprise Center was built too small and not for two teams. The only way the current arena could host two teams would be to tear down the Kiel Garage and put all the basketball operations in a new building there. (Like the Bulls and Pacers did to their places.) And I can guarantee the City will NEVER give up that cash cow.
