Looks like the garage is done, and steel is going up now.
Crane is up. Visible all up and down the southern half of the 170 corridor…and also from 40/170 if you’re looking for it.
Greetings all from the 26th floor of Centene C! I have a tower crane update. Click on the picture to enlarge it. I know...kind of blurry...but it's noticeable enough from up here! The garage structure looks massive, even from here a mile and half-ish away!
So I got closer the other day. Behold, Garagezilla. They're already fitting some facade finish to the west side of it. No sign of the apartment portion yet. Next door, Crown Center redevelopment is off the ground.
Delcrest is on floor 3 or 4. Still moving pretty slow imo. But faster than it was. You know they must be way behind because they have I think all the windows delivered already (and that was over a month ago) and they basically are putting them in as they go. I feel like windows are usually at least a a couple floors behind.SRQ2STL wrote: ↑Sep 30, 2022Greetings and salutations from the 26th floor of Centene C. Today there is a lot of good action happening down there. The foundation pour is occurring over at the Bemiston Place site. And over at AC Marriott Clayton, I can see what appears to be the first peak of the core rising. Further abroad but a bit far to get a clear picture, the Delcrest/Delmar apartment project appears to be at the 2nd or 3rd floor now. Clearly visible from here.
Balconies getting added on. I do really like the ones that face Delmar. Wasn’t expecting those.
Place still is taking forever to finish, even with what looks like weekend work

Best I could take while waiting at the stoplight in the rain
They're building some large amenity spaces on top of the garage, very visible from 170.
Might get done by end of 2025. I am pretty sure the apartment at 170/olive started well after this and it’s looked closer to done than this when I drove by yesterday.
But at least this seems to be somewhat close now.

I was surprised to see 7 floors of scaffolding yesterday on the west side of the garage/rooftop amenity space.
If you look at the Delmar side I can’t tell it paint is already peeling off at the top or something wasn’t installed correctly or what it going on.Tim wrote: ↑Sep 03, 2023I was surprised to see 7 floors of scaffolding yesterday on the west side of the garage/rooftop amenity space.

I am hoping Lux sells it off when it’s done. I actually think I’m going to like the building I just know with Lux running it to expect issues later.
Yeah, I noticed that too. Something is going on with the paint on that paneling. I also wish they wouldn't have painted all of the brick white. The brown brick added a little variation.
Going by the reviews on Google, it looks like they may do the same thing they did at Hudson and Soho and start moving people in before they're done with construction.

This google reviews are seriously suspect. They basically all say the same thing in a different way. Most praising the leasing agent. Major

McKenzie looking good. Notice the excavator jackhammering on the roof of the “Soviet block” looking Crown Center building.

I think this is all done now or close enough most of the apartments can be moved into. I’ve noticed more windows with tvs on and people inside at night. Still has a ways to go to fill up.
There was a worker messing with some paneling today. I think there was an issue with it and they were fixing it.
