Evening rendering from the LuxLiving website. I'm disappointed that the project's scope was reduced, but this will still be a decent addition.

I obviously liked the old proposal better and wish it had more floors but I will not miss that ugly parking lot. The sooner it is gone the better

Construction fences are up surrounding the property and dumpsters are on site.

Backhoe and bobcat on site today. I saw some workers there also. Demo must be soon. Looked like they may have been throwing stuff in a dumpster out back.

My dentist is in that building; still haven't heard a word from them, and I've got an appointment in April.

Maybe they have backhoe and bobcat there in anticipation of your next visit. 😨

Demo moving along. It looks like the top 3 floors windows are out and being gutted.

Here’s a pic before it’s gone.  The union labor dispute is ongoing too.

Which union? What is the dispute? Simply that they aren't using union labor?

Building is leveled.

PostNov 18, 2021#66

This has been moving along from what I can tell. They have a fair amount of equipment on site. The old building is gone and they seem to be digging the site out. I can’t tell if they actually have started building anything yet.

The hole is a deeper than I was thinking it would be. I wouldn’t say it’s moving fast, but it is steady. I’m curious if it gets a tower crane.

Every day when I drive by I look to see if a tower crane is going up. Hoping they get out of the basement soon

PostApr 02, 2022#71

I didn’t realize this was Lux til I saw it on the banner driving by so maybe Chris can add some context.

Will there be a tower crane here?

Also it seems to have a name of McKenzie so maybe the forum needs a name change.

I didn’t think a tower crane would be us e here because they had a big roller crane putting up the garage. But now it’s being taken apart so I guess maybe one will go up.

Side question. Will this be done by 2030. This has to be about the slowest moving project I’ve seen from when it got started to now.
