Just bought my ticket for the Aston Villa (My PL team) and City, will be coming down from Chicago.

What of the newer hotels does everyone recommend is best for the park?

Don’t tell me we have Spurs in here.

And in college basketball, you can't spell National Champions without NIT, but the two are rarely confused. 😉

Just joking with you. I'm a Bayern fan, so thank you for Harry Kane. Enjoy your off-season as champions.

Ramada Inn at the Airport just replaced the 1970s carpets.

Is this the Mayor of Downtown’s way of telling me I’m not welcome?

Or the Curio right across the street at Union Station. Rooms aren’t that nice, but the hotel amenities are.

The Drury Inn at Union Station is a good choice as well. It's in an old YMCA building.

Salient appears to be having trouble offloading this site and the packages to the north. At least they’ve remained on the market. Hoping when interest rates drop this year we’ll finally see the MLS district projects get moving.

Like the rendering though. Let’s hope something similar comes to fruition.

I like the density, though it kind of has a suburban office building vibe. Something you’d see off the highway in West County.

Reporter from the UK does a walk and talk breakdown of the friendly match against Aston Villa while circling the stadium. Praises the place and makes it look nice.

The weather certainly added a dramatic setting for a beautiful stadium.

MLS was impressed as well, though thoroughly color enhanced:

Chicago Fire (my other favorite team) are doing what City hasn't done yet. I know it's just renderings but at least I see a vision with a partner developer. I have been disappointed thus far with City's shared vision (if any) with Downtown West. I guess focus on good soccer first but any vision would be inspiring. A hotel? Apartments? Small condo building? Anything?

Are you unaware of the hundreds of apartments being built like a block away from the stadium?

I was just down there today and was wondering about the status of those... anyone with AHM connects?
