This won't happen. Bad for business. They do too much with other professional sports organizations. They will have a well thought through response knowing that the question is coming.JaneJacobsGhost wrote: ↑Feb 20, 2025I assume Cordish will be grilled because it’s yet to make good on the generous subsidies granted for the BPV development? I like the live plants on multiple setbacks on the upper floors. A little green "living" accent will look great on this.
Just a thought, once Cordish is moving I doubt they’ll want to stop. BPV 3 will either happen during or immediately after Millennium site.
That possibly is the next BPV tower shaded in the back of the renderings
Ill echo the request for our techy creatives on the boards to put the new skyline together in a photo. Thanks

And I ask the players in this project to not do a demo and LEAVE IT an empty hole ; such as we have at the corner of Jefferson and Market
Thanks
Thanks
I truly don't think the front door of the city or Cordish will allow that to happen.chris fuller wrote: ↑Feb 20, 2025And I ask the players in this project to not do a demo and LEAVE IT an empty hole ; such as we have at the corner of Jefferson and Market

The updated article on stltoday by Steph K has some interesting tidbits. Lamartina as local Cordish spokesman, DeWitt’s approval, probably means no hard feelings between Cards and Cordish. Interesting. I guess they are banking on big-time momentum for all projects. Need interest rates to come down, quickly for other projects.
Holy crap this is exciting! A red letter day to all us UrbanSTL nerds...
This is idealized office space. This site will feature some of the most remarkable views that would make anyone stare out in awe, but more importantly are not replicable from anyplace else due to proximity and openness of view. Now, I'd normally think that there'd be quite a few corporate clients ready to consider locating here even before this all went public, in fact I'd say they'd be necessary. Pointing out as well how @Chris Stritzel noted Cordish has been pursuing Thompson Coburn for BPV3, and @dbInSouthCity noting potential office space clients have already been in conversations with the right parties. I'll throw in two other thoughts...
1. This could be a full corporate relocation for, maybe, a County-based company wanting better digs in the City. Perhaps one that has been a part of the conversations for quite some time. Maybe one that'd take the entire site?
2. This is an extremely rare opportunity for STL to attract a F100 HQ to the region from outside, as nowhere else would have brand new Class A office space, with amenities and excellent considerations, overlooking a National Monument within a National Park.
This will prompt so much more development in Downtown if it can get underway with relative ease...
Let's move that dirt!

I did a rough sketchup of what it could possibly look like based off what I've been able to observe so far.
Definitely a skyline changer. I don't know how accurate of a depiction this is, but I'm sure we will see something as more renderings are released. This, plus BPV3 would definitely change the balance of the skyline. I'd love to see a some high rises on the North Riverfront too,goat314 wrote: ↑Feb 20, 2025

Yes but I can hope the board presses Cornish’s representative until they make a mistake and fail to follow the scriptSTLAPTS wrote: ↑Feb 20, 2025This won't happen. Bad for business. Thanks to the inflationary policies of the President you advocated for that’s not going to happen any time soon.
You’ll be lucky to get one rate cut this year
Nice! Yes, will really help to push our skyline south and fills in a gap.goat314 wrote: ↑Feb 20, 2025Definitely a skyline changer. When I come across the Poplar, One Cardinal Way looks big & impressive. I think this tower will impress drivers coming across the bridge. definitely fills a huge gap. Throw in more development at BPV & Gateway South & now we are talking about serious movement Downtown.
I have heard many at ADM (based in Decatur IL but has presence in south city on the riverfront) that they want to be in STL. Most want to bypass the Decatur office and have been asking to be located in STL. It would be a big grab if we could get their North American headquarters downtown. Please someone reach out to them.dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Feb 19, 2025Cordish has had talks with firms for the office spacesSuburban Sprawl wrote: ↑Feb 19, 2025These plans need local corporate backing too. I will take it but I can't help but feel for Decatur. A little ag powerhouse in its day, but the outlook for this town is bleak.

ADM is based in Chicago with their North American HQ in Decatur. But I agree, getting some or all of their workforce from Decatur would make a lot of sense. They have also made a lot of investments in the Pet Food / Farm Feed industry in recent years. St Louis is the national leader in that industry, so the workforce is already here.NJB1981 wrote:I have heard many at ADM (based in Decatur IL but has presence in south city on the riverfront) that they want to be in STL. I went to college in Decatur. That town is very dull and was surprisingly full of crime when I was there.GoHarvOrGoHome wrote:I will take it but I can't help but feel for Decatur. A little ag powerhouse in its day, but the outlook for this town is bleak.

And while we’re feeling bad for Decatur, say a prayer for Louisville. The news lately coming out of there is horrendous. They are losing corporate HQ’s left and right. Sad.

I saw KFC is moving their HQ to Texas not sure how real that is but if true what a shame.whitherSTL wrote:And while we’re feeling bad for Decatur, say a prayer for Louisville. The news lately coming out of there is horrendous. They are losing corporate HQ’s left and right. Sad.

I too took a stab at photoshopping this development into the skyline. I used a couple of reference points. 1 is the smaller northern building which appears to be around the same size as the green Deloitte building. The 2nd reference point is the terrace 2/3rds up the main tower, which appears to be around 29 to 30 floors up so I lined that up with One Cardinal Way. I hope this development gets built to spec! It will definitely help balance the skyline on both ends of the arch. Although I fear if it gets downsized, the top 1/3rd would be the most likely candidate and we’d be left with a tower around the same height as One Cardinal Way.
