I guess that's 30 stories of apartments on top of 11 stories?

Whoa! At first I thought you meant 41 on top of 10.

Hard to tell from the images where all that parking will be. I assume it’s part of those 10 stories under the 31 stories

There's clearly a few levels at the base of the apartment building.

I'd like to know more about of the amphitheater and winter garden works with a noisy polluting highway right there.

Parking - 3 levels above grade, 2 levels below grade.

PostFeb 21, 2025#535

What does that say?

PostFeb 21, 2025#536

^Cordish Power and Light development getting a massive cap on 670 in KC right in front of its buildings makes me think they at least have to be in favor of something over 44 to connect the development to the national park. Since Gateway Foundation purchased the land for RFP because of its importance, they have to be thinking of connection too.

The amphitheater can’t work without a cap or removal. I also can’t make out the orientation - I would assume you would want the Arch in the back ground so audience would face northeast. You would still have all the interstate infrastructure in the background no matter what

So idk, maybe they have a cooked up long term vision amongst all the parties to push for a change

If only we had the courage to remove it.

With the i-70 bridge, I really don’t understand how we wouldnt have the courage. I’m not sure there would actually be much opposition. I think everyone finds it rather dividing, ugly and pointless

Show these new developments connected to the arch and riverfront and most people will get on board.

This small stretch of interstate has way too many maintenance costs versus its utility.

Well, we didn't when the bridge was built and CityArchRiver was planned. I don't think things have changed.

Wonder why this would be included unless the Cards are a part of this project already

It's interesting how the numbers in the text portion of the LCRA agenda differ from that of the Cordish presentation portion. The presentation says...
- 600 apartments.
- 250,000sf office.
- 52,000sf of retail (overall).
- 35,000sf food hall and winter garden.
- STL Arch Archive and Storage: 60,000sf
- 7000sf amphitheater.

Either way, this is a huge project.

I'm also curious how this project can cost more than what's been spent at Ballpark Village so far. Only $360 Million has been spent over there (so far), yet this project is $310 Million more expensive?

A reclad of the stadium east garage and retail being added makes it sound like the garage is here to stay for a while...

Just replace it with a new building including a garage please. If you are going to think up a plan for the building to add bays and reclad, just go all the way and make it more productive land use.

Cordish builds stuff they say they will build.   BPV is not a Cordish project, its a cardinals ownership project, which selected Cordish to work on it but Cordish cannot build something unless their client want it built.

BPV is not Cordish responsibility. Cardinals own the land and the development rights. If it were up to Cordish, BPV would be done.

Which is exactly why the City should withhold discussions about any stadium funding unless it includes a commitment to *COMPLETE* BPV by 2030.

I understand that but just above there is discussion of the Cardinals being involved in this, so it is not so clearly separated. Obviously it is too early to say what role they would play but couldn't they easily end up as part of the financing, putting them in a position to put the brakes on things when it suits their whims?
