That program exists as you described it. Just need more retailers/attractions to hop on board.

Wow that list is depressingly small. Certainly going to go to some of them more now that I’ve seen it though.shadrach wrote:https://www.metrostlouis.org/deals/

Just remembering this comment, now that a bridge is being rebuilt between the highway decks with funding from the fedsdbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Jan 15, 2023It’s hard to see ever a ped bridge. if you think this is worth $20,000,000 thats fine.PeterXCV wrote: ↑Mar 14, 2024Just remembering this comment, now that a bridge is being rebuilt between the highway decks with funding from the fedsdbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Jan 15, 2023It’s hard to see ever a ped bridge. You don’t think it’s a bad thing because you believe there’s a buyer that will purchase and build out the development?dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Jul 25, 2024Don’t be surprised if this folds. The intended use was never a huge bar and coupled with issues that green street is having I don’t know how much longer it lasts. I don’t necessarily view it as a bad thing.
DB disapproves of events and businesses that cater to the over indulging of alcohol. See the comments he has made toward Mardis Gras and its attendees.delmar2debaliviere2downtown wrote: ↑Jul 26, 2024You don’t think it’s a bad thing because you believe there’s a buyer that will purchase and build out the development?dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Jul 25, 2024Don’t be surprised if this folds. Almost like the Blues could have built this out as their practice facility and playable ice rink. Plop a hotel up there and you have travel teams from all over coming for tournaments. Seems far long enough for a 200ft ice rink that would be eons better than the old Mills location, or Centene.dylank wrote: ↑Jul 26, 2024Original concept was mixed coworking and networking spaces. As far as the entertainment component goes, I'm not sure if they ever opened the build-out of the ground floor which was to include event spaces, roller skating, a speakeasy, nightclub...And the rooftop was supposed to have a biergarten.
I still think it would be great to do indoor sport courts for rent/ public use. There's a shortage of indoor playing space, especially for youth sports with many older gyms needing maintenance. Seems like a good way to bring families into the city on weekends, explore the foundry...etc. Not to mention the recreational opportunities for city residents 24/7. (Maybe a true recreation complex in the Central Corridor w full gym, pool, right on the Brickline).
I think you have me confused with someone else, i am full blown alcoholic.JaneJacobsGhost wrote: ↑Jul 26, 2024DB disapproves of events and businesses that cater to the over indulging of alcohol. The walk would be so easy if there were only a sidewalk, such an easy fix but no action from city or ownerRockChalkSTL wrote: ↑Jul 26, 2024The ugly painted-over Goodwill building near the Armory that was teased as a potential apartment conversion...
Any chance of that still happening in the near future?
Sounds like multi-tower Armory Phase II is likely dead if Phase I may go belly up.
The area needs more residents and connection to the other vibrant things going on.
Has anybody here ever walked to the Armory from the Grand MetroLink station? The walk kind of sucks despite the proximity.
There is so much that St. Louis and developers could be doing to improve that area.
to my mind this is still the best case concept for prospect yards. Bernard Sloped to at grade 4-wayintersection with Grand and Goodwill building fully removed. Sorry. They grey are parking structure to support multifamily apartments facing Bernard.RockChalkSTL wrote: ↑Jul 26, 2024The ugly painted-over Goodwill building near the Armory that was teased as a potential apartment conversion...
