Its very nicely done inside, its going to be great atmosphere. When the first renderings came out i thought it may feel a bit like a country club-ish but its not at all, it will be loud and raucous during games. there is a lounge type seating area on the outer perimeter, it will be first come first serve
they will also be open 6:30 am on Saturday and Sunday for euro games
Food- i had t ravs, wings and a corned beef sandwich, all were good, no complaints. I wanted the pastrami but they ran out by time i got there

Intrigued by the crumble burger (scrapple?), bologna and berber sandwiches. Seem to be original offerings you're not likely to find too many other places. Looks great!

Well, Busch stadium did get $400,000,000 in development around it. It just took a while. The soccer stadium development is already underway with Butler Brothers, 2 hotels, and all the apartments north of the stadium
The dome was never going to be a development catalyst, rams played just 8 Sundays a year there. Mls team will play 17 home games as part of the regular season, another 5-7 of other in season cups and tournaments, national team games, college games, etc. so it will be in use probably 40-50 times a year

^To be fair, with the Dome, the stadium was meant to bring the team rather than the other way around. And nearby development was predicated on convention business more than football games. And while the results there have been a bit patchy, I don't think it was a complete failure. The team did come . . . for a while. And hotel and retail developments happened too, though quite a lot required some level of public investment, and they haven't been universally successful. That said, the transformation around the soccer stadium is really something else.
The soccer field won't be in use 40 times this year, will it? I thought the team said they're not going to have other games there to allow the grass to mature.
City2 is not even on the slate to play there at all, which would be nice given the cost of MLS tickets. It'd probably get decent crowds (half full?).

It would be nice to get SLU-SIUE. Maybe a few high school top matches like SLUH-CBC.

They gave a shout out on AHM proposed development but wished the could have offered some more tidbits, teasers and details behind the intended investment or the latest timeline. Would be nice to see the timber beam tower break ground as signature building for downtown west at same time think some well planned rowhouses filling in more of the gaps between West Downtown would be a better outcome in the long run. Essentially plop something along the lines of Lafayette Edge townhouses being built out, Let BPV add some more height overall

This doesn’t give you the exact timeline but timber tower people did ask the City to leave the gravel parking lots used for stadium construction as is, the stadium construction contractor was suppose to turn them back into grass lots immediately and they did with 2 of 4

Getting lazy but curious if anyone knows if the timber tower will be able to offer some top floor views into the stadium? Not sure where its is exactly being proposed and if like One Cardinal and future 2CW if the timber tower banking on some views in the MLS stadium. Makes sense to me when AHM was referenced in the article and why at least one tower would make sense for the developer.

Side note, I got tickets this Saturday and so excited.
This area of downtown should explode with new business and residential. I really hope the plans with AHM come through. The redevelopment agreement says within three years for construction start. I hope way sooner.

^ I’ve heard some conflicting things on Amsterdam. I heard second hand the owner wasn’t happy with the news leaking, seemingly blaming it on the team…but it was his social media guys that put it out there on their Instagram in the first place…

Look for those to go up in the near term, with direct causality to the new national entertainment franchise that has committed north of half a billion dollars to its development in Downtown West. Plus, earnings taxes assessed on professional athletes, especially globally-recognized franchise players, is one of the biggest revenue generators this City has. Meanwhile, this egghead twit is more concerned that the architect is a female than in how the City actually works. While she may be a sound associate professor of aesthetics, she flat-out doesn't get the economics of how cities pay the bills.
Positive Revenue Generation and Asset Allocation Saves Cities. Schools and Police don't pay for themselves. Potholes certainly don't. Our new MLS team will generate tax monies through direct and multiple indirect revenue streams. STL has new monies coming in. That'll help turn our City around.
