Their Beef Shish Kebob uses better meat than either of those places. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Sameem.

^I'm not sure I've had the beef shish kebob at Natasha. Haven't been there in a bunch of years, oddly. (Since I fell in love with Sameem.) I'll have to give it a last try before they close down.

I didn't see a coffee shops thread and saw others mention Park Avenue on here so figured I'd give props to Spine Coffee and Books on Arsenal right by Benton Park. They have some singer songwriter and local author events. They have pastries and sandwiches/wraps from Gooseberries and Elaine's.
It's in a beautiful building at 1976-1982 Arsenal St. Has an infamous history as it used to be the Grapevine Tavern--apparently the hangout of James Earl Ray and his brother in the 60's and may have been where the plot to assassinate MLK took form (for more on that check out Mark Groth's piece on James Earl Ray in STL)

They are usually consistent with their hours stated so I don’t know. They were closed some weekends in January and February but are now back open Saturday and Sunday.
Anyone have a scoop on anything going on in the former Subzero Vodka Bar space on Euclid? Looks like there's a bunch of work going on in there but no information. The adjacent spaces have an apothecary and juice bar coming soon.
There’s a Shake Shack coming Downtown inside the Enterprise Center! I wish it was on Washington Avenue instead or both as the Enterprise Center is only open for events and games.

Yes, that is a major missed opportunity. But truth be told, Wash Ave already has Hi Pointe which is at least a local chain. Shake Shack had their opportunity years ago for Wash Ave and went for CWE instead.
1) it’s not like CWE is the far side of the earth
2) I thought Shake Shack was rumored for Ballpark Village?
I remember seeing a Shake Shack shown in the original bid plans for Ballpark Village Phase 2, but it didn't end up being a tenant. Not sure if they are trying to get in the next phase or not.dweebe wrote: ↑Mar 28, 20221) it’s not like CWE is the far side of the earthbwcrow1s wrote: ↑Mar 28, 2022Yes, that is a major missed opportunity. Anyone heard if Triumph Grill is trying to make a comeback? Looks like someone took down the front awning in the last week or two.
Anybody know anything about the Citygarden Kaldi's? Shame to see the coolest coffeeshop location in the city sit empty.

They are still planning to get it up and running again. I think they are waiting for their staffing needs to stabilize a bit
Their "flagship" DeMun location is still having staffing issues.GoHarvOrGoHome wrote: ↑Apr 07, 2022They are still planning to get it up and running again. I think they are waiting for their staffing needs to stabilize a bit
So is the Euclid location, the other day they were closing at 1:30 instead of 3:00.
Some good news: the El Sitio spot in the CWE is still slated to open. They had some setbacks and still aren't sure when they'll open, but are hoping for late spring.
That's good, that patio LLewelyn's used to have was the best.

Looks like The Ready Room is making a comeback at the old Atomic Cowboy space.

That would be great! Where did you see that? I haven’t seen anything online about it.Suds wrote:Looks like The Ready Room is making a comeback at the old Atomic Cowboy space.

Not confirmed yet, but seems like it's probably what's happening!
I noticed the neon had been taken down recently.brianadler6545 wrote: ↑Apr 12, 2022That would be great! Where did you see that? I haven’t seen anything online about it.Suds wrote:Looks like The Ready Room is making a comeback at the old Atomic Cowboy space.
