^Things are coming along. And it makes me ten flavors of happy to see AA adding flights. AA has, at times, frustrated the ever living crap out of me, but I sincerely want them to succeed. I'm seriously considering jumping ship and going back to AA. (All my blinking MQMs are going to expire anyway at this rate. I sincerely doubt the big DL will extend them another year just because it's still so blasted hard to go anywhere overseas.)
I’m in the same boat. I like Delta and have a Delta card but I really have little reason to ever fly them anymore with the 5 cities they fly to. I might pocket it and get an AA one. I fly Southwest most of the time but I like to have one international carrier as my go to otherwise. I keep waiting for some kind of international flight announcement to change but with covid still around who knows how long that will take.
I started with American then status matched to United a few years ago, went back to American, then status matched to Delta.  Been with American for a solid 3 years now.  Don't love it, but the route network works better for me, and I know them well, and I know their hubs well.  Lots of people told me service was way better on DL but honestly it wasn't "better enough" to pull me away from American.  I do almost always get upgraded on American, I can't honestly remember a flight in the past 2+ years I haven't gotten a free upgrade.

I do wish there were more concession options in C though.  Maybe with the added traffic something will get put in around C24.  I do fly SW about 10-15% of the time, and it is much nicer in E than C.

I think that’s the common theme. AAs product is good enough because their route map from here is the best of the legacy carriers (unless you happen to fly to one of the other carriers cities a lot). Route map makes up for any product issues.

With as much as Spirit is looking to expand I think that will really help options in C. Plus AA and Frontier expansion.

My wife and I have AA reservations to Scotland in September using some of my FF miles. But will probably have to cancel because Scotland classifies US as amber. For amber countries unless your vaccine was done in the UK, they consider you unvaccinated and require 10 day quarantine on entry. Non-starter.

My wife and I have put off our honeymoon because we didn't want to book something and it get cancelled. We were supposed to go to Dublin in June of 2019 and now are unsure when we'll get to do anything.

I'm on the United bandwagon because when I started with my company that is what everyone seemed to have. They have really stepped up their game in the past 10 years since I started flying with them.

There are plenty of countries in Europe that are accepting vaccinated US citizens right now without forcing them to quarantine, but this prob won't last long due to the Delta variant and lack of reciprocity on the part of the US which has just renewed the Europe travel ban. I would hold off on planning any European travel for now

England and Wales are allowing US vaccinated people in without quarantine.  Scotland debating implementation as well.  Decision should be forthcoming.

I went to England for 3 weeks in May w/o quarantine, i had to get permission from the Royal Air Force, the US Air Force and a US base there then i show up the airport in London with this stack of papers and the guys like "yeah alright enjoy England" and doesn't even look at one thing- i spent like a 2 weeks tracking down all the approvals.

United has made huge improvements since ditching the 50 seat ERJs and replacing them with the 550s. It was awful to fly the ERJ after an international flight, especially from EWR or IAH.

I hated those ERJs with a passion! I had to lean forward in my seat for the whole flight from EWR to STL one time because my seat was broken and it would just recline into the person behind me. So happy they are gone.

Haven't posted a frequency update on this site for awhile, so I thought I would to show progress getting back to normal.

August Frequency update

Flights per week based on week of August 16
August 2021 (July 2021) August 2019 (%vs Aug 2019)
Southwest 573 (567) 792 (-27.6%)
AA 216 (207) 267 (-19%)
Delta 145 (149) 203 (-28.5%)
United 145 (135) 201 (-27.8%)
Frontier 36 (44) 31 (+16%)
Spirit 35 (35) XX
Allegiant 19 (45) 13 (+46%)
Alaska 14 (14) 21 (-33%)
Sun Country 2 (2) 6 (-67%)

Total STL 1286 (1273) 1707 (-24.6)

Seats based on Monday (vs July 2021) vs August 2019
AA 3464 (+9.7%) -21%
Delta 2608 (+2.4% )-22%
United 1388 (+4%) -29%

Notes:

Delta and United have the same amount of flights but Delta has almost twice as many seats... speaks to one using mainline and one not.
Frontier - ORD/Punta Cana drops off for the season. ORD is on the schedule next year, for now. Punta Cana comes back in November.
Allegiant - Jacksonville/Savannah/Charleston/Myrtle Beach drop off for the season. Charleston takes a break until October.

I can't believe we don't have an SFO back yet,  the SWA Oakland flight is packed.

Just landed and the airport is popping. Big issue at terminal 2 with the traffic though. Cars picking up passengers are bottlenecking at the arrival/departures fork causing major delays.

^I was thinking that. Hopefully the roadway project will have an impact. Maybe even more hopefully, some of that traffic moves back to a terminal with the capacity to handle it somehow.

I hear Spirit has begun flights out of C30. Anyone got photos of what they have done with C down there?

Looks like they got C31 through C34 painted out on the apron seen through new updated google earth imagery. Its nice to see continual expansion. Curious to know if they expect those gates to be filled soon.

E42 looks to be also painted where D26 once was. Its very faded though. Very interesting.

Anything passed 31 isn't renovated. Guessing like E42 they just painted them for parking reasons.
