^ yes she used the term "brain space," but there's a difference between "I don't have the brain space to deal with this right now" and "I can't believe you don't have the brain space to figure this out, dumb ass." ;)

AND there was so much going on during that meeting with all of the airport privatization debate that it was hard to keep track on what the heck was happening, let alone trying to paraphrase it all for twitter.  I tried to watch the entire thing live and it was absolutely exhausting.

I learned via email today that the St Louis/"chuckberryville" MLS team first season will be 2023.

Looks like the decision came down from on high. More Covid fallout.

I don’t think so, BOA passed eminent domain power to be used on the lot if the power keeps being unrealistic

The ordinance authorizing eminent domain for this lot is effective 8/24.  So expect to see site control occur shortly thereafter.

I couldn't find the specific ED ordinance yet, but l doubt that it allows the LCRA to immediately seize properties and evict the owner. 8/24 is just the beginning of the process.

Stonemont could choose to sell immediately of course, rather than incur the legal expense, but it might cost more if they have to provide a quick alternative to meet their tenant lease parking obligations.

It would be a problem if they hadn't delayed the franchise launch by a year.

Stephen Hale from Schlafly has many video Tweets of the stadium construction, from the roof of the Tap Room...

Thank you.

The redevelopment agreement and amendment are vague. It just authorizes the city to start the process on 8/24. I was looking for anything new they may have added to define specific actions, deadlines, condemnation procedure, required notice, etc. for a time-sensitive situation such as this, i.e. something which would give the developer immediate site control, as you stated.  But I didn't state that clearly.

Otherwise, if the owner chooses to fight it, I think it will be a long process.

I don't think the owner could really drag this along too much.  Looks like the bill just defers to the standard LCRA processes for site control.  So LCRA should be able to move fairly quickly and I don't see any judge approving an injunction since the city ordinance is in place.  Even if the owner wanted to argue over the financial value of the land, that could be sorted out by the court after the fact.

Just wanted to ask about an stadium construction camera, like if anyone knows anything about one? I’d love to keep track of it and watch it from home! (I’m going down there 3 times a week at the moment and kinda wanted to slow down on going there a bit)

Not yet.  For now, you are stuck with the Schlafly roof video updates, and the irregular construction site photos posted by the St. Louis Sports Commission and posters here.

Stephen Hale on Twitter has been the best source so far. If you are on Facebook, you might consider joining one of the St. Louis City SC fan pages as they will probably have updates posted from members from time to time. So far I know of St. Louis City SC Fans, STL City SC Fans and St. Louis City SC Fan Page.

I saw some newer renderings of the soccer stadium on STL CITY's website via MLS. Seems like things will be very open, and much of the interactive things to do outside have been replaced by green space. I wouldn't take these renderings too seriously because in one rendering the green space is floating... However, I think it will reflect most accurately how the stadium will look when it's done.
