Just noticed that the roof of the PWC building has a rooftop patio with tables and benches. Pretty cool.chriss752 wrote: ↑Nov 26, 2019This is from Three Sixty yesterday. They are current starting on the roof.

Hope they will be repaving Clark soon. Construction has not been kind to that street

Best part of the SLBJ article:
“The building’s apartments are on pace to be 100% leased when the tower opens”

The Cordish guy at the topping off ceremony this morning stated that the rooftop would have an LED screen. So perhaps it'll look similar to Lumiere Hotel's roof structure?
Nice! That should do really well there. A little more detail from the PD:debaliviere wrote: ↑Dec 04, 2019Salt + Smoke opening at One Cardinal Way!
https://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/ ... the-latestThe new location will occupy two stories. The first level will feature inside seating for about 120; there will also be patio seating. The second level will be a rooftop deck with seating for between 150 and 200 depending on how the space is being used. Schmidt anticipates the restaurant will open along with One Cardinal Way in June.
So they have new locations downtown, in the CWE, and in St. Charles. That's a really aggressive expansion, I hope it doesn't backfire on them. Rapid expansion seems to have a lot of victims in the STL restaurant industry.debaliviere wrote: ↑Dec 04, 2019Salt + Smoke opening at One Cardinal Way!
Yeah, they kind of buried the lede there didn't they? Wonder what that does for the chances of another tower in the near future.TCB wrote: ↑Dec 04, 2019Best part of the SLBJ article:

I would think 100% occupancy would bode well for a Two Cardinal Way. And, perhaps, for a Three and Four Cardinal Way.
If I were Cordish and the Cardinals, I'd be working behind the scenes right now to make a second tower happen. There are a number of downtown area projects that they could potentially beat to groundbreaking, like Chouteau's Landing.

That’s one more retail space filled up, but one I won’t be going to. I don’t rate Salt and Smoke favorably
Their Mac and cheese is great. The meat not so much.chriss752 wrote:That’s one more retail space filled up, but one I won’t be going to. I don’t rate Salt and Smoke favorably

I think their brisket it better than most but different. And their wings are some of my fav. Pulled pork is about the same anywhere. I haven’t tried anything else they do.

Maybe the single worst meal I've ever paid for was at Salt and Smokechriss752 wrote: ↑Dec 04, 2019I don’t rate Salt and Smoke favorably

I must be in the minority, but I feel the same way about Sugarfire that many of you feel about Salt + Smoke.
Sugarfire was absolutely atrocious when I went. I'm sure it deserves a second chance, but I'm not sure I'm willing.

It made me ill—not literally, but I don’t eat fried, fatty, oily foods often so I got queasy half way through. I mean, is there it one thing that’s not swimming in butter? That goes for almost all BBQ places for me, even the really good ones.
Yet...I know some people that love Salt & Smoke so overall I think it’s a good addition.

Did they actually pour the last level of concrete today? Wasn’t expecting them to beat One Hundred on that front.mizstl wrote:The Cordish guy at the topping off ceremony this morning stated that the rooftop would have an LED screen. So perhaps it'll look similar to Lumiere Hotel's roof structure?
Accelerating Two Cardinal Way out of conceptual into preliminary design/engineering and getting past budget to cost/constructability phase from general contractors seems like a no brainer right now. Which they might already being doing or already have done. Financing I assume is whole different world. Anyone with better knowledge on where Cordish truly might be with Cardinal Two Way?KansasCitian wrote: ↑Dec 04, 2019I would think 100% occupancy would bode well for a Two Cardinal Way. BPV III essentially has ready to build pad sites and incentives in place from my understanding unless I'm missing something. So assume it is down to having drawings ready, construction agreements and financing in place once they pull the trigger on breaking ground
Three and Four seems more like a wishful but more hopefull thought as One Cardinal Way leasing continues. But I also assume that Cordish is actively pursuing office tenants or plug & play approach as far as what gets built in BPV III in addition to two cardinal way.
From what I remember hearing from a few months back, Two Cardinal Way was being designed by HCM. Since my source at Cordish left, I no longer know what the status is. I know that they were going to do a Three Light style set up with apartments and come condos.
I think we will hear about a second tower sometime after One opens.

I hope these leasing numbers help to push new development in the area, notably 300 S Broadway.
I believe the only unit on the 30th floor is the second floor of "The Cardinal" (the only one with two levels, which costs $8,000 a month and hasn't been leased yet, so I imagine the top roof is probably fairly small, relatively speaking.wabash wrote: ↑Dec 04, 2019Did they actually pour the last level of concrete today? ^^ any news of a new tower at 300s Broadway would most likely prevent us from seeing Two Cardinal Way announced for another half-decade or so
