That is a sharp looking sign atop a sharp looking building.

Rooftop lettering was definitely one of my more challenging design projects, but I think it turned out the best it possibly could. Sign company - Warren Sign.

This photo is a mock up and yes before the concrete was sealed and coated. It may or may not happen, but if it does the sign will not be white. IT will have the appearance of metal with a led glow.

I'm guessing the lower units start in the $350+/sqft range? Am I on the right track Jenn?

That is such a depressing comment! Good design attracts people with or without multimedia.
I agree with your comment about good design...but remember we live in an age where movies can be streamed at 4G speed on a hand-held phones while talking to a cousin in Japan while the latest update from a friend on the front lines in Afghanistan are seen in real time...

Multimedia is a powerful force and should be taken advantage of ... I LOVE the Gateway arch...and I also really enjoy the movie underneath it...We would never have been able to see and hear and almost feel what construction of the Monument was like w/o multimedia...

Multimedia doesnt have to subtract from good design and good art...in fact just the opposite IMO, it can add infinitely more...

I was wondering from what angle the sign would be cut off given that it's quite a bit back from the edge of the building.

Maybe it's intended for a Busch Stadium crowd?

I know air traffic is down, but some outdoor advertising is meant as much for air travelers as it is meant for folks on the ground...

Youve got to think that many corporate names on buildings downtown don't mean much to the average consumer (Peabody, Thompson Coburn, Roberts Tower) but mean much more to more affulent, corporate types who will fly a lot...

Sure - I realize the sign isn't for people on the sidewalk, but it would be cool if it was more visible from below.

Maybe there's some sort of goofy city set back requirement.

Obviously that's valid, but I hate that practical considerations get the way of really cool design!

from another thread:

irocktheparty2000 wrote:So was walking my dog over to the plaza yesterday evening like I always do as it is the easiest and quickest place to take him. Except this time I got stopped by two security guards saying that I could not take my dog into the plaza anymore. They go on to tell me that the plaza has now been completely taken over by the Robert's Brothers who have hired private security to keep everyone out, at least for now, from 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. Anyone know if this is true? I really hope the Downtown Partnership is still involved in running this thing.
